MC4-Evo 2 Connector Set 4-6mm²
Product Information
The MC4-Evo 2 Branch Connector is a component used to connect
two MC4/MC4-Evo 2 plugs or two MC4/MC4-Evo 2 sockets in parallel.
It has three terminals for this purpose. The branch connector is
compatible with the PV-AZS4-EVO 2-UR plug and PV-AZB4-EVO 2-UR
socket, and can be sealed with PV-BVK4 or PV-SVK4 sealing caps. The
component is designed to be used within the DC circuits of a
photovoltaic array, but can also be used as a LVDC component for
other purposes.
Product Usage Instructions
Safety Instructions
It is important to follow the assembly and safety instructions
provided in the manual to avoid life-threatening injuries due to
electric shock, electric arcs, fire, or system failure. Only an
electrician or electrically instructed person should assemble,
install, and commission the system.
Tools Required
You will need either a PV-MS-PLS/2 (Order No. 326058) or
PV-MS-MC4-EVO (Order No. 326066) tool for assembly. Refer to
Operating instructions MA270 for further information.
Plugging and Unplugging
To plug the connector, align the parts together until they click
into place. Check that they have engaged properly by pulling on the
connector. Do not modify or repair the component. Assembly of not
fully engaged connectors is not permitted as this could lead to
permanent deflection of clips and thus to potential failure.
Example of Parallel Connections
The branch connector is used to connect two MC4/MC4-Evo 2 plugs
or two MC4/MC4-Evo 2 sockets in parallel. Refer to the manual for
further guidance on this.
Product Specification
The branch connector is compatible with the PV-AZS4-EVO 2-UR
plug and PV-AZB4-EVO 2-UR socket. If the component is used for
other purposes, then the requirements and specifications may be
different from the ones described in this document.
Installation Notes
Live parts can remain energized after isolation or
disconnection. Ensure safe assembly and mounting to avoid injuries.

Allgemeine Installationshinweise:
· Nicht gesteckte Steckverbinder sind mit Verschlusskappen (Buchse Bestell-Nr 320716; Stecker Bestell-Nr 320717) vor Umwelteinflüssen zu schützen (Feuchtigkeit, Schmutz, Staub etc)
· Kontaminierte Steckverbinder nicht miteinander verbinden
· Steckverbinder dürfen nicht in Berührung mit jeglichen Chemikalien kommen
Verunreinigte/beschädigte Steckverbinder:
· Sicherstellen, dass der Steckverbinder nicht durch Umwelteinflüsse verunreinigt wird (z B durch Erde, Wasser, Insekten, Staub)
· Sicherstellen, dass die Oberfläche des Steckverbinders nicht verunreinigt wird (z B durch Aufkleber, Farbe, Schrumpfschläuche)
· Der Steckverbinder darf nicht direkt auf der Dachfläche liegen
