SMART3G-C3 Gas Detector with Infrared Sensor

The SMART3G-C3 gas detector is designed to meet industrial
requirements and is explosion-proof. It can be installed in ATEX
Zone 2 and, when equipped with a dust adapter, in Zone 22. The
sensing element is placed in the stainless steel head with a
diameter of 47.5 mm. The infrared sensors used for flammable and
refrigerant gas detection are poison-free, have high accuracy, and
a long lifetime. It has a 12-24 Vdc power supply and a standard
4-20 mA 3-wires output. Optionally, the SMART3G-C3 can be equipped
with serial RS485 communication and a 1 or 3 relays board. The
enclosure has dimensions of 106 x 160 x 62 mm, and on the upper
side, there’s an M20 cable gland.

Product Usage Instructions

The SMART3G-C3 gas detector is used to detect flammable,
refrigerant, and CO2 gases in industrial areas. It is suitable for
installation in ATEX Zone 2 and, when equipped with a dust adapter,
in Zone 22. The gas detector requires a power supply of 12-24 Vdc
and has a standard 4-20 mA 3-wires output. Optionally, it can be
equipped with serial RS485 communication and a 1 or 3 relays board.
The gas detector emits optical indications and acoustic indications
when gas is detected.

The SMART3G-C3 gas detector has a sensing element of infrared
type, which has a predicted sensor lifetime of more than 5 years.
The gas detector detects flammable gases in the range of 0 – 100%
LFL flammable gas, refrigerant gas in the range of 0 – 2000 ppm,
and CO2 gas in the range of 0-2%Vol; 0-5%Vol; 0-30%Vol; 0-100%Vol
CO2.

The gas detector has an enclosure made of aluminium material,
and the sensor head is made of stainless steel. The enclosure has
dimensions of 106 x 160 x 62 mm and has an IP55 grade protection
mode (certification pending). The gas detector can operate at a
storage temperature range of -40°C to +70°C and an operating
temperature range of -20°C to +55°C. It can operate in a humidity
range of 10% to 95% RH (non-condensing).

The SMART3G-C3 gas detector is SIL2 hardware and SIL3 software.
With a redundant system, the hardware is also SIL3. The gas
detector can be ATEX marked as follows: 0722 II 3G Ex db ec nC IIC
T5 Gb or, when equipped with a dust adapter, 0722.
