CAUTION Sharp Blade. Handle carefully. Keep fingers away from the blade. Never feed food by hand. Always use the food pusher. Always use completely assembled meat slicer with food carriage and food pusher. Protective, cut-resistant gloves are recommended whenever handling the blade.
- Before cleaning, always turn Power Switch to OFF ( ) and unplug.

- The Blade and Removable Food Pusher can all be hand washed in hot, soapy water. Because these parts come in contact with food, they should be sanitized properly. Allow sanitized parts to air dry. Do not use harsh abrasives to clean any part of the Meat Slicer. Use extreme caution when handling or cleaning the Blade, as it is extremely sharp! Do not leave Blade in water; trying to handle sharp objects in water can be hazardous. It is highly recommended to wear cut-resistant gloves when removing, cleaning and reinstalling the Blade.

a soft cloth dampened with a mild detergent. Never immerse Base in water or any other liquid. Do not use steel wool, abrasive cleaners, or sharp utensils to clean. - After cleaning and drying, reinstall the Blade and Blade Locking Screw to the Base. Make sure the Blade Locking Screw is properly tightened. Using a flat head screwdriver or coin, turn the Blade Locking Screw counterclockwise to tighten. Rotate the Sliding Food Carriage back to its proper position and reinstall the Food Pusher (Figure 5).

NOTE: After cleaning is complete, use National Sanitation Foundation (NSF) approved food grade silicone lubricant (SKU 03-0101-W) to help lubricate and protect moving parts.
MEAT SLICING TIPS
- Slice more than just meat
Whatever you can slice with a mandolin, you can slice on the Meat Slicer. Cut perfectly uniform cored apples, pepper rings, onion or tomato slices, shred lettuce and cabbage or slice bread and cheese. - Don’t force slicer
People often make the mistake of pushing the food across the Blade too forcefully. Blade should glide easily through food. When you force the slicer, you wear down the motor and slow the Blade. If you go with the flow, the Slicer will last longer and you’ll have more uniform slices. - Keep food as cold as possible
The colder, the better. Really cold and/or somewhat frozen food is best for slicing. Place meats and soft cheeses in the freezer for 30 minutes before slicing. Partially freezing fish helps when trying for paper-thin slices. - Create a flat surface
Slice ham, roast, loaf of bread, cabbage or any food in half to create a flat surface to start. Face the surface against the blade. It will help keep the slices uniform. - Do not use foods that have seeds
Tomatoes are the exception. The seeds and pits of other fruits such as peaches, avocados, etc. can cause damage to your appliance. It’s best to avoid any foods with seeds. - Do not cut meats with the bone
Never slice through bone. It is important to only slice foods which do not contain bone, since this can damage your Slicer.
