Product Information

Product Name: Smartphone Eye Imaging
Adaptor

Model: QuikVue Plus VPA-200

Product Design Concept: The QuikVue Plus is a
smartphone adaptor designed for anterior segment imaging in
ophthalmology. It provides 10x magnification, making it suitable
for eye examination by optometrists, general practitioners,
pediatricians, veterinarians, and more. With specially designed
optical lenses, the QuikVue Plus captures clear anterior images for
primary eye care examination and telemedicine.

Clinical Applications: The QuikVue Plus can be
used for general eye checks, emergency checks, immobile patient
checks, elderly patient checks, children patient checks, and pet
eyecare checks.

Illumination: The QuikVue Plus provides both
white and blue illumination. The white LED projects warm white
light similar to a slit lamp’s halogen illumination. There are two
levels of white illumination available for different brightness
demands during examination. The blue illumination is used to
capture fluorescein images for corneal staining and contact lens
fitting.

Power Management: The QuikVue Plus comes with a
mini Li-ion rechargeable battery that can be recharged using a Type
C cable. A light indicator next to the charging port changes from
blue to green when the recharging is finished. A flickering blue
light on the switch button indicates low power and reminds
clinicians to recharge.

Integrated Yellow Filter: The QuikVue Plus is
equipped with a flipable yellow filter, allowing clinicians to take
enhanced fluorescein images with cobalt blue illumination. This
feature is useful in lens fitting, cornea ulcer imaging, tear film
break up time examination, etc.

Smartphone Compatibility: The QuikVue Plus can
attach firmly to most smartphones in the market. Clinicians need to
align the QuikVue Plus lens with the smartphone’s main camera. The
main camera should be located within 5cm from the lens.

Working Application: The QuikVue Plus can work
with the smartphone’s default camera app or the VisuScience
developed VisuDoc ophthalmic case management app, which can be
downloaded from both the App Store and Google Play Store.

Image Showcase: The QuikVue Plus can capture
images of various eye conditions, including corneal cyst, silicone
oil migration, flower iris pattern, air descemetopexy, pterygium,
ICL implant, corneal ulcer, dendritic ulcer, superficial punctate
keratitis, OK lens fitting, and marginal keratitis.
