ATTENTION!

Attention must be paid to preventing moisture and dust during application. Always keep it dry and clean to ensure measurement accuracy.

The place where the meter is kept must be clean, the ambient temperature 0 – 40 °C.

Measuring Method

Open

Pull off the protective cap with two fingers.

Switching on

Press the ON/OFF key to switch on the meter.

Measuring Method

Insert the pins of the Wöhler HF 300 into the wood approx. 5 mm.
The meter will display the relative humidity of the wood on the LCD.

Hold the current value

Press the HOLD-key to hold the current value.An H-Icon on the LCD shows that a frozen value is shown instead of the current value.
Press the HOLD-key again to bring up the measuring menu again.

Evaluate the measurement result

The user can estimate the combustibility of the measured wood based on the measurement result according to the three traffic-light colors under the LCD.
green: standard flammable
yellow: hardly flammable
red: combustion not recommended, because too humid

Finishing the measurement

Press the ON/OFF key to switch on the meter.
Put the protective cap on the meter.

Changing the batteries

When battery voltage gets low, a low battery indicator will appear on the LCD.
In this case change the batteries as follows:

Open the battery compartment on the back of the unit.
Replace the battery by a new 9V battery

Replacing the pins

Broken or damaged pins can be exchanged by the pin-kit.

Loosen the damaged pins with an appropriate tool (gripper, screw wrench or ring wrench).
Replace the damaged needles by the needle kit and fix the new needles with the tool.

Warranty and Service

Each Wöhler HF 300 Moisture Meter will be tested in all functions and will leave our factory only after extensive quality control testing.
If used properly, the warranty period for the Wöh-ler HF 300 will be twelve months from the date of sale. Electrodes and Batteries are not covered by this warranty.
This warranty does not cover the freight and packing costs when the device is sent to the factory for repair.
Service by non-authorized personnel or making modifications to the analyzer voids any warranty.
Wöhler has built our reputation on excellence in customer service. Therefore, of course, we are readily available to assist you after the warranty period ends.

Send us the device and we will repair it and return it to you with our package service.
Immediate help is provided by our technical staff over the telephone.
