Product Information:
The MTPX-MF V3 is a surface mount Mifare Reader that is capable
of reading Mifare Classic, Ultralight, and Desfire cards. It
operates at a voltage range of 9 to 14V DC and has a maximum
current consumption of 130 mA. The reader operates at a frequency
of 13.56 MHz and has a read range of up to 6 cm. It supports
Wiegand 26, 34, 42, 58, 24, 32, 40, and 56-bit data output
protocols. The reader features a tamper protection mechanism and is
designed to operate within specified temperature ranges. It
complies with IP protection standards and has compact dimensions
for easy installation.
Product Usage Instructions:
- Mounting: The reader should not be mounted against a metal
surface. If installation on a metal surface is necessary, an
isolation base must be used to separate the reader from the metal.
The thickness of the isolation base should be determined through
testing. - Backlight and Buzzer Control: The reader allows for the control
of the backlight and buzzer. Use the provided ON/OFF switches to
toggle the backlight and buzzer as needed. - UID Conversion: The reader can convert the UID (Unique
Identifier) of cards from a 7-byte ID to a 4-byte ID. This
conversion is only possible with cards that have a 7-byte ID, such
as Mifare Plus, Desfire, and Ultralight cards. - Wiegand Selection: The reader supports different Wiegand data
output formats. By default, it is set to Wiegand 26-bit. Use the
provided selection options to choose the desired Wiegand
format. - No Parity: The reader allows for the selection of parity
settings for data transmission. The default setting is “No Parity”
(ON), meaning no parity bits are sent. If desired, the parity can
be turned on by setting it to OFF. - Note: All changes to the reader’s settings can be made live,
without the need to power cycle the device.

– The reader should not be mounted against metal surface. If there is an installation where the metal surface cannot be avoided, isolation base between the reader and the metal must be used. The thickness of the isolation base should be determined with test.
