DAB ANTENNA INSTALLATION

Place the antenna to the windshield near the A post.

Remove the cover of the A post.

Stick the transparent part of the antenna on the windshield and put the black part on the metal frame.

  1. Antenna connection Connect the DAB antenna correctly according to the wiring diagram as described on the page to the left.
  2. Station search and automatic storage Press the [MODE] button (8) to switch to DAB mode. After the switch to DAB mode upon first energizing, the system will automatically search and store. If not or if you want to re-scan, long-press the LAMS] button (11) to start the search. When the search is completed, it will start playing the first active station.
  3. Playback DABS stations After a full search the 18 strongest stations automatically will be stored in the three DAB bands. Six presets on each band. To recall the stations, switch between DAB1, DAB2, DAB3 using the [BND] button (12) and use preset buttons (16-21) to switch between 1-6 or use the Play and backbuttons (13/14).

Description of the functions
Panel ReleasePush this button to release the front panel.
PowerPower function to activate or deactivate the unit.
BandBand selection allows you to select different reception bands, f.i. FM1, FM2 and FM3 or DAB1, DAB2 and DAB3
AFAF stands for Alternative frequencies; the tuner will return to alternative frequencies whenever the reception signal is getting worse.
TATA stands for Traffic announcement which means that it will give you information about the traffic (if broadcasted) no matter what mode you are in (SD, USB, etc.) it will automatically interrupt the SD and give the information, after that it automatically switches back to the selected mode
Manual up/downHold rotary button to switch to manual radio frequency search (up/down step by step)
Menu (system)Press the VOL/SEL button for several seconds to activate the cyclical mode to choose from the following user instructions: AF on/off > TA on/off > PTY off/speech/music > REG loc/dx > TA seek/alarm > PI sound/mute > RETURN US > BEEP on/off > AREA eur/usa (rotate to adjust)
Audio MenuThe Audio menu button gives you the possibility to adjust your sound system with the following options Bass, Treble, Balance and Fader. These options can be used to fine-tune your sound. In DSP mode you can choose from preset EQ settings: FLAT, CLASSIC, POP, ROCK.
ModeThe mode button allows you to go from one source (f.i. SD) to another source (f.i. Tuner) by pushing the button as many times as needed.
AMSAMS stands for Automatic store; in tuner mode, it will automatically store the 6 strongest stations (M1-M6).
Note: all previously stored stations are lost.
Rotary volumeThis knob allows you to adjust the volume from minimum to maximum level. NOTE high sound levels may cause damage to your ears.
M1-M6These are the preset stations where you can store your favorite radio stations if in tuner mode.
Pause/PlayThis button allows you in USB or SD mode to play or to pause the music.
RepeatRepeat will play a selected song or album continuously. Available in USB and SD mode.
ShuffleShuffle will play all the songs randomly. Available in USB and SD mode.
File down/upIn MP3 mode press this button to go up or down one folder.
Track down/upIn MP3 mode press this button to go up or down one track
fast forward/backwardLong press to fast forward to the USB or SD.
3,5mm AV jack inTo connect an external audio system.
USB poortWhen inserting a USB stick the unit will switch to USB mode.
SD card input (behind panel)Remove the front panel to insert SD card. When inserting an SD card the unit will switch to SD mode. (Max 16GB card)
Reset (behind panel)Use a non-metallic pointed object to press and hold the reset button for 5 seconds. The unit will be set to factory default.
BluetoothOpen the Bluetooth menu by pressing and holding “MENU” button
PairingActivate BlueTooth on your mobile phone, and search for available devices. Select “Car Audio”, password “8888”. If successful “BT ON” is displayed.
ReconnectThe unit will normally auto-reconnect.
Reject incomming callPress (MU) button if you not wish to answer the call, and return to normal playing mode.
TransferTo audio transfer from the head unit back to the mobile phone. Long press the Transfer (BND) button to transfer the audio back to your mobile.

Note! Do not operate the unit while driving!

Product cleaning.

Use a soft dry cloth for periodic cleaning of the product. For more severe stains, please dampen the cloth with water only. Anything else has the chance of dissolving the paint or damaging the plastic.

Temperature.

Be sure the temperature inside the vehicle is between +45°C (+113°F) and 0°C (+32°F) before turn­ing your unit on.

Maintenance.

If you have problems, do not attempt to repair the unit yourself. Return it to your Caliber Europe BV Europe BV dealer or the nearest Caliber Europe BV Service Station for servicing.
