The IPK34-14GPM-WHA-HTEMP Hot-Water Industrial Plumbing Kit is a
plumbing kit designed for use with Dosatron units (sold
separately). It is suitable for use with the D14TMZ5, D14TMZ10, and
D14TMZ3000 units. The kit includes a 3/4 stainless steel ball
valve, a 3/4 CPVC high-temp filter, a 3/4 brass pressure regulator
with gauge, a 3/4 stainless steel check valve, two 3/4 CPVC
high-temp unions, a 3/4 CPVC high-temp Tee, a 3/4 stainless steel
water-hammer arrestor, five 3/4 CPVC high-temp close nipples, and a
roll of thread seal tape.
The kit also comes with assembly instructions that must be
followed to ensure proper installation. The male fittings must be
wrapped with thread seal tape before installation. The check valve,
high-temp filter, and pressure regulator must be installed with
their arrows pointing in the direction of the flow. The
water-hammer arrestor must be installed so that it absorbs the
shock wave travelling back to the source of water.
It is important to note that parts ordered or pictured may look
slightly different than the image displayed, but the fit and
function will be the same. Additionally, when connecting a Dosatron
to either the public water supply or its own water source,
regulations concerning protection of the source must be
respected.
Product Usage Instructions
- Wrap all male fittings with 5 – 6 turns of thread seal tape if
white, only 3 – 4 turns if pink or blue tape. - Install the following parts with their arrows pointing in the
direction of the flow: Check valve, High-temp filter, and Pressure
regulator. - Install the water-hammer arrestor so that it absorbs the shock
wave travelling back to the source of water. - Connect the Dosatron unit to either the public water supply or
its own water source, making sure to respect regulations concerning
protection of the source.

1 Wrap all male fittings with 5 – 6 turns of thread seal tape if white, only 3 – 4 turns if pink or blue tape.
2 Install the following parts with their arrows pointing in the direction of the flow:
Check valve High-temp filter Pressure regulator
3 Thread the head of the Tee onto the ¾” close nipple on the outlet of the Dosatron. Next, install the WHA into the top open end (shoulder) of the Tee. See illustration.
The WHA needs to be installed so that it absorbs the shock wave travelling back to the source of water. If Installed in any other orientation the WHA will not protect your Dosatron from the effects of water hammer, and can leave you susceptible to possible damage of your equipment and other plumbing.
