GX470 Rock Slider
Product Information: GX470 Rock Slider Instructions
The GX470 Rock Slider is a product that is designed to protect
the vehicle’s body from damage during off-road driving. This
product is made of durable materials and includes all the necessary
hardware for installation. The installation process requires some
technical expertise and the use of specific tools.
Tools Needed:
- 12mm Socket and Ratchet
- 13mm Socket and Ratchet
- 19mm Socket and Ratchet
Included Hardware:
- Driver’s side: 3 19mm bolts and washers, 7 13mm bolts
- Passenger side: 5 19mm bolts and washers, 5 13mm bolts
Important Note: Before continuing with the
installation, it is crucial to know that JW Offroad is not
responsible for any damages, misuse of the mounts, or user
errors.

The installation skill level required for this product is rated
at 2 out of 5.
Product Usage Instructions:
Step 1: Remove OEM Steps
Remove the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) steps from the
vehicle.
Step 2: Remove KDSS Skid Plate
Remove the Kinetic Dynamic Suspension System (KDSS) skid plate
from the vehicle. Refer to Figure 1 for guidance on removing the
plate. Figure 2 shows the removed plate.
Step 3: Cut Skid Plate
Cut the skid plate as shown in Figure 3.
Step 4: Lift Slider into Place on Passenger Side
On the passenger side, remove the brake line bolt as shown in
Figure 1. Lift the slider into place and use 5 19mm through bolts,
washers, and nuts, and 5 13mm bolts to thread into the frame. Refer
to Figures 2, 3, and 4 to see the holes used. Figure 5 shows the
back of the frame.
Step 5: Lift Slider into Place on Driver’s Side
On the driver’s side, lift the slider into place while being
careful of KDSS lines. Use 3 through bolts, washers, nuts, and 7
13mm bolts that will thread directly into the frame.
Step 6: Put KDSS Skid Plate Back On
Reinstall the KDSS skid plate onto the vehicle.
Once the product is installed, it is ready to be used for
off-road driving. The product is designed to protect the vehicle’s
body from damage.
