Hitchmate 4011 Cargoload Fold Up Carrier Instructions

4011 CargoLoad Fold Up Carrier

Product Information:

The CargoLoad Fold-Up Carrier by HitchMate is an assembly manual
product that is designed to carry cargo. It is important to note
that the carrier must not be used on a towed vehicle. The maximum
weight of the cargo should not exceed 500 lbs or the load limit of
the hitch, whichever is the least amount. The carrier is designed
to be folded when not in use, to save space.

Important Safety Information:

  • Make sure the area in which the Carrier is assembled is clean
and well lit. Cluttered or dark areas invite accidents.
  • Keep children and bystanders away while assembling the
    Carrier.
  • Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use common sense when
using the Carrier. Do not use the Carrier while you are tired or
under the influence of drugs, alcohol or medication. A moment of
inattention while using the Carrier may result in serious personal
    injury.

General Assembly Instructions:

  1. Tighten all connections with a wrench.

Loading Your Cargo:

  1. Slide cargo across the frame to find the center of gravity,
where the cargo will rest without rocking.
  2. Cargo must be properly secured before operating the vehicle.
Tie-down straps, bungee cords or cargo webbing are recommended.
    Heavier items demand stronger tie-downs.

Folding The Frame Body When Not In Use:

  1. Pull out the clip (item no. 6) and the connecting pin (item no.
    8).
  2. Turn the frame body up until the frame body is vertical.
