Indications for Use
The Cross-Checks HP chemical process indicator strips give visible confirmation that the item has been exposed to hydrogen peroxide during processing in a hydrogen peroxide sterilizer. Cross-Checks HP chemical indicator strips will change from purple to a shade of pink following exposure to hydrogen peroxide.

Color Change

During proper hydrogen peroxide sterilization, the check marks change from purple to pink.

Instructions for Use

  1. Place a Cross-Check HP strip in each pack, peel pouch, or tray to be processed in a hydrogen peroxide sterilizer.
  2. Process the load according to the sterilizer manufacturer’s instructions.
  3. Following processing, visually verify the check marks have changed color from purple to a shade of pink.
  4. If the check marks are still purple, the item was not exposed to hydrogen peroxide during the plasma cycle.

Safety Precautions

  • If there is any doubt about sterility of item, it must be considered NOT sterile
  • Do not use any indicators if the check marks are not purple in color prior to exposure to a hydrogen peroxide process

Storage

  • Store at normal room temperature 10°- 38°C and 10-90% R.H.
  • Keep unexposed indicator strips in the sealed bag provided away from strong oxidizing agents

Expiry Date

The expiry date is printed on the product packaging. Do not use after expiration date listed on the packaging.

LOT Number

A unique identification code, LOT, is printed on each test strip and packaging labels.

Interfering Substances or Conditions

Do not store near strong oxidizing agents such as chlorine bleach, hydrogen peroxide, or peracetic acid.

Release of Toxic Substances

The indicator releases no known toxic substances in sufficient quantities to cause either a health hazard, or a hazard to the intended properties of the product being sterilized before, during or after the sterilization process.
