When purchased from a seller other than Amazon.com, this Google Product has the Google Seal for Online Marketplace. Over Wi-Fi, you may watch the video in full 1080p HD 24 hours a day, seven days a week. You can log in from anywhere and at any time. Send clips in 1920×1080 resolution to relatives and friends. In the darkest settings, night vision with 8 high-power infrared LEDs provides light for crisp footage.

Nest Aware is available for a 30-day free trial. Intelligent alerts and activity zones are available for a 10-day video history. After the trial period finishes, you can keep the service for $6 per month for your Nest devices.  Easy to install, with a variety of mounting options and a free Nest app. Use the magnet base or a shelf mount to mount the camera to the wall. THIS LIMITED WARRANTY CONTAINS IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT YOUR RIGHTS AND OBLIGATIONS, AS WELL AS LIMITATIONS AND EXCLUSIONS THAT MAY APPLY TO YOU.

WHAT DOES THIS LIMITED WARRANTY COVER; PERIOD OF COVERAGE
Nest Labs, Inc. (“Nest Labs”), 3400 Hillview Avenue, Palo Alto, California USA, warrants to the owner of the enclosed product that the product contained in this box (“Product”) will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of two (2) years from the date of delivery following the original retail purchase (the “Warranty Period”). If the Product fails to conform to this Limited Warranty during the Warranty Period, Nest Labs will, at its sole discretion, either (a) repair or replace any defective Product or component; or (b) accept the return of the Product and refund the money actually paid by the original purchaser for the Product. Repair or replacement may be made with a

new or refurbished product or components, at Nest Labs’ sole discretion. If the Product or a component incorporated within it is no longer available, Nest Labs may, at Nest Labs’ sole discretion, replace the Product with a similar product of similar function. This is your sole and exclusive remedy for breach of this Limited Warranty. Any Product that has either been repaired or replaced under this Limited Warranty will be covered by the terms of this Limited Warranty for the longer of (a) ninety (90) days from the date of delivery of the repaired Product or replacement Product, or (b) the remaining Warranty Period. This Limited Warranty is transferable from the original purchaser to subsequent owners, but the Warranty Period will not be extended in duration or expanded in coverage for any such transfer.

TOTAL SATISFACTION RETURN POLICY
If you are the original purchaser of the Product and you are not satisfied with this product for any reason, you may return it in its original condition within thirty (30) days of the original purchase and receive a full refund.
 WARRANTY CONDITIONS; HOW TO GET SERVICE IF YOU WANT TO CLAIM UNDER THIS LIMITED WARRANTY
Before making a claim under this Limited Warranty, the owner of the Product must (a) notify Nest Labs of the intention to claim by visiting nest.com/support during the Warranty Period and providing a description of the alleged failure, and (b) comply with Nest Labs’ return shipping instructions. Nest Labs will have no warranty obligations with respect to a returned Product if it determines, in its reasonable discretion after examination of the returned Product, that the Product is an Ineligible Product (defined below). Nest Labs will bear all costs of return shipping to the owner and will reimburse any shipping costs incurred by the owner, except with respect to any Ineligible Product, for which owner will bear all shipping costs.

 WHAT THIS LIMITED WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER
This Limited Warranty does not cover the following (collectively “Ineligible Products”): Products marked as “sample” or “Not for Sale”, or sold “AS IS”; or Products that have been subject to (a) modifications, alterations, tampering, or improper maintenance or repairs; (b) handling, storage, installation, testing, or use not in accordance with the User’s Guide, Placement Guidelines, or other instructions provided by Nest Labs; (c) abuse or misuse of the Product; (d) breakdowns, fluctuations, or interruptions in electric power or the telecommunications network; or (e) Acts of God, including but not limited to lightning, flood, tornado, earthquake, or hurricane.

This Limited Warranty does not cover consumable parts, including batteries unless damage is due to defects in materials or workmanship of the Product, or software (even if packaged or sold with the product). Nest Labs recommends that you use only authorized service providers for maintenance or repair. Unauthorized use of the Product or software can impair the Product’s performance and may invalidate this Limited Warranty.

Frequently Asked Questions

• Can I use it as a baby monitor? If I am asleep and the baby starts crying will it automatically play the audio for me on my phone or just an alert?
  It works as a baby monitor, but it definitely works best in tandem with a tablet or Google home hub so you have a screen to look at other than having to bring it up on your phone. We use both an iPad and a hub to keep an eye on our guy with the nest cam, but the hub has the added benefit of being a digital photo frame as well! And the hub is much cheaper if you don’t already have a tablet, before we had a tablet we just used our hub
  
• Would this be suitable for keeping an eye on my elderly mum (she has dementia and some history of falls)?
  Yes, it will allow you to have two-way audio communication as well. So if she does fall, you can talk to her even if she can’t get to a phone.
• Can I switch it off or disconnect the cam directly from the cam? I would like to be connected only when I get out of the home. Thanks!
  Not really. There is no switch on the actual cam. You can unplug it I guess, but this defeats the design. Basically, everything is controlled through the app. Without the app you can’t really use the cam. But it’s easy to do with the app. As soon as you leave home, just go to the app and switch it on. Or if you have a set schedule, program the scheduler in the app for specific se times. But you really have to use the app to turn it on and off.
• Can more than one phone see the video at once?
  yes. I have my phone and my wife’s phone connected you can also give limited rights to someone so they can see the camera but not make any adjustments.
• Do I need a computer at home to use this, or is wifi and my iPhone ok?
  Wifi and an iPhone are all you need. Setup that way is really easy by scanning the code on the back of the camera and signing up for a (free with no recording) account.
  
• I wanted to get this to use as a baby monitor. Do you think this is a good choice?
  Yes…I even thought that when I got mine – – how nice that would have been. It has night vision, so even when the room is pitch dark you can see everything very clearly – – works great with the app, but of course, the computer screen is better to view from because of the size of the screen vs your phone. Plus you can hear everything in the room and have alerts sent to you if any movement occurs. I would use for a baby monitor, yes
• If you don’t purchase Nest Aware, does the camera still work for streaming audio and video to your phone?
  Yes, it works but you don’t get the saved recordings. I get my motion activations notifications on my Samsung Galaxy phone when I put the Nest Cam into away mode. I just pull my cell phone out to see who activated my Nest Cam. It is usually the kids coming home.
