1 About the RFG-301

The RFG-301 is a radio communications device designed for use in gas meters. The RFG-301 provides a 915 MHz radio interface to an RF mesh network.

The RFG-301 operates from two 3.6V lithium batteries, connected in parallel to provide 3.6V. The radio module operates in license-free bands at 915 MHz (902.75 to 927.25 MHz). RFG-301 Nodes are fully compatible with mesh network hardware, protocols and operations. Five radio transmission data rates are available: 9.6 kb/s, 19.2 kb/s, 38.4 kb/s, 76.8 kb/s and 153.6 kb/s. The transmission power of the 915 MHz radio is adjustable from 24 dBm to 5 dBm.
