Unpack the thermometer and insert batteries.
Condition thermometer at am orienting room temperature for 30 mins before operating.
Remove the protective cap covering prooe ens.
Use a new probe cover with each and every measurement – ensure the probe cover is fitted on firmly before use.
Press the ‘on/recall’ button to turn on the thermometer.
Straighten the ear canal by pulling the outer ear up and back to give a dear view of the ear’s rum.
For ages:
Newborn to 1 year.
Straighten the ear canal by pulling the outer ear up and cracking it to give a dear view of the ear’s rum.
For ages: 1 year to adult.
While pulling the outer ear, insert the prose into the ear canal – insert as deep as is comfortable.
Press and immediately release the ‘SCAN’ button. Do not remove the thermometer from the ear until you hear the Deep sound – this beep means that the measurement is complete.
Remove the thermometer from the ear. The display shows the measured temperature.
