Product Information

The product is a CWRT Mounting Hole Cover Install Sheet for
sealed enclosures. The user manual provides information about the
minimum and maximum sealed volume and power handling for different
models of CWRT speakers – CWRT67, CWRTB, CWRT10, and CWRT12. The
panel dimensions for minimum sealed enclosures using 3/4 (1.9cm)
thick MDF are also provided. The manual also includes instructions
for adding triangular bracing between each of the larger
unsupported panels and using the template inside the CWRT’s
shipping carton to mark the mounting hole.

The manual also provides information about vented enclosures. It
states that for vented enclosures, the displacement of the port
must be calculated and added to the internal volume of the final
design. It also provides an example calculation for the CWRT10
Vented Minimum design’s external port dimensions using 3/4 (1.9cm)
MDF.

Product Usage Instructions

To use the product, follow the below instructions:

  1. Refer to the manual to determine the minimum and maximum sealed
    volume and power handling for your specific model of CWRT speaker –
    CWRT67, CWRTB, CWRT10, or CWRT12.
  2. Use the panel dimensions provided in the manual for minimum
    sealed enclosures using 3/4 (1.9cm) thick MDF to construct the
    enclosure.
  3. Add triangular bracing between each of the larger unsupported
    panels as instructed in the manual.
  4. Use the template inside your CWRT’s shipping carton to mark the
    mounting hole, then cut directly on the line as instructed in the
    manual.
  5. If you plan to use a vented enclosure, calculate the
    displacement of the port and add it to the internal volume of the
    final design as instructed in the manual. Use the outer dimensions
    of the port and multiply X x Y x Z, then convert to cubic feet. For
    example, the CWRT10 Vented Minimum design’s external port
    dimensions are, using 3/4 (1.9cm) MDF: (10.5 + 1.5 total MDF wall
    thickness) x (2 + 1.5 total MDF wall thickness) x (20) x (1 ft3 /
    1728 in3 ) = .49 ft3.

For the vented enclosures the displacement of the port must be calculated and added to the internal volume of
the final design. Use the outer dimensions of the port and multiply “X x Y x Z”, then convert to cubic feet. For example, the CWRT10 Vented Minimum design’s external port dimensions are, using 3/4″ (1 .9cm) MDF:

(10.5″ + 1.5″ total MDF wall thickness) x (2″ + 1.5″ total MDF wall thickness) x (20″) x (1 ft3 / 1728 in3 ) = .49 ft3 ,

Then, add this number to the internal volume of the enclosure. 1.25 ft3 + .49 ft3 = 1.74 ft3

Ajoutez ensuite ce nombre au volume inteme de l’enceinte. 1,25 pied3 + 0,49 pied3 = 1,74 pieds3 .
