Installation

** Monitor trigger ** when the reverse backup light comes on it will trigger the monitor to switch to the backup camera.
- Find a suitable location to surface mount and install the camera. Make sure the camera’s view is unobstructed and be careful not to drill into any wires that might damage the vehicle. When all connections have been made and before mounting the camera, verify the camera is working and has a good view of the area. Then mount the camera down with the supplied two screws.
- Connect the RED wire to the +12 volt reverse wire
- Connect the BLACK wire to the Chassis ground (a metal, non-painted surface).
- Connect the GREEN wire to the + 12V volt reverse wire.
- Run video cable through the vehicle, up to video monitor. (Avoid placing video cable where it can get pinched or damaged).
- Attach the YELLOW video RCA to the reverse camera input of the radio or video monitor; connect the RED wire coming from the YELLOW video RCA to the reverse trigger wire on the radio or video monitor.
NOTE: The camera comes with trajectory lines and a mirror image view active. If you want to remove the parking lines or change the image to a reverse image, follow the steps below:
A) Disconnect power to the camera.
B) Cut the BLUE loop to remove the trajectory parking lines. isolate and tape the wires.
C) Cut the WHITE loop to get the normal image, isolate and tape the wires.
D) Reconnect power to the camera. If the trajectory parking lines are needed or the image needs to go back to reverse, just follow the steps above and reconnect the wires.

Installation Tips
- VTL 17LT J is designed to work best on vehicles that have a license plate located at the center and above the rear bumper. If your vehicle has a plate location that is offset to the left side, or right side, or your plate is located under the bumper then the VTL 17LT J may not provide optimum performance,
- VTL 17LT J bar-bracket is designed to be mounted behind the license plate so only the camera is visible
- VTL 17LTJ is designed to use the existing License Plate mounting equipment.
Caution: The rearview camera must be mounted at an angle (30- 40 degrees). It must not be mounted horizontally straight. Otherwise, the sensitivity and accuracy will be affected accordingly.

1-YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY
This limited warranty is given to the end-user or the retail purchaser (referred to this warranty as “Original Purchaser”) that it will be free from defects in mate rial and workmanship for a period of one year from the date of the purchase of the new product (excluding accessory items such as power cords, cradle, memory card, adaptor, and cables). A copy of the original proof of purchase and this warranty card with the RMA number given by Vision Tech America, Inc. is required to receive warranty service. In the unlikely event that the new product should fail due to a defect in material or workmanship, Vision Tech America, Inc. will repair or replace it with a new or refurbished product, where each party will be responsible for one-way shipping for the lower 48 States customers only. For International and U.S custom ers residing in Hawaii, Alaska, and Puerto Rico, the customer is responsible for freight charges incurred both ways:
This limited warranty does not cover any physical damage to this product, damage caused by improper installation; improper use; misuse; neglect; repair of cracked, scratched, broken or modified cosmetics; or parts that have been altered or removed; damages done by another device used with this product resulting from use of non BOYO®- brand parts. This warranty is VOID if you purchased this product as used, floor model sample, or refurbished; if the product has been altered or modi fied in any way (including but not limited to attempted repair without authoriza on from BOYO®- Vision Tech America, Inc. and/or alteration/removal of the serial number). This limited warranty does not cover the vehicle of any damages or liabilities in which this product is installed or being installed. This product does not guarantee avoidance of vehicle collisions or accidents.
