Presetting

The presetting of a valve for a certain pressure drop e.g. corresponding to the presetting position 2.3 should be carried out as follows:

1. Close the valve fully (Fig. 1).
2. Set the valve at position 2.3 (Fig. 2).
3. Using a 3 mm Allen key, turn the inner spindle clockwise until stop.
4. The valve is now preset.

A pressure drop diagram is available for each valve size, showing the pressure drop curves for various settings and flows.

Measuring

The measuring points are double-secured. When measuring (fig 4):

1. Connect the measuring hoses.
2. Open the measuring points 0.5-1 turn with a 13 mm key.
3. Close the measuring points after finished measuring.
4. Disconnect the measuring hoses.

STAD-C Solder

When soldering cover valve body with wet cloth to prevent pre- mature deterioration of the internal valve components. Solder the valve body to the pipe, using silver solder.
