BDE-BLEM201 Bluetooth 5.0 Low Energy Module

Product Information:

The BDE-BLEM201 is a Bluetooth 5.0 low energy module that is
compliant with the Bluetooth 5.0 single-mode. It supports both
master and slave modes, allowing for 3+ simultaneous connections in
master mode. The module integrates a Bluetooth Low Energy stack,
eliminating the need for an external MCU. It offers excellent RF
performance with a communication range of 100m (LOS). The module
features an ultra low power 8051 microcontroller core, 8K RAM with
retention, and 256K in-system-programming flash. It also includes
23 GPIOs, a 12-bit ADC with eight channels and configurable
resolution, and data interfaces such as I2C and USART. The
BDE-BLEM201 module has a chip antenna with -0.5 dBi Gain and comes
in two sizes: 16.55mm x10.88mm x 1.5mm (Without Shielding) and
16.55mm x10.88mm x 2.2mm (With Shielding). It is BQB certified and
compliant with FCC, CE, and RoHS standards.

Product Usage Instructions:

  1. Step 1: Module Integration

    Integrate the BDE-BLEM201 module into your product by following
    the recommended module location in the X-Y plane as shown in Fig.
    4. It is advised not to place the module in the locations shown in
    Fig. 5.

  2. Step 2: Power Supply

    Connect the power supply to the AVDD pin to provide power for
    the analog circuit. Connect the DVDD pin to provide power for the
    digital circuit. Ensure that the VDD voltage is within the
    recommended operating conditions of 2V to 3.6V.

  3. Step 3: Pin Definitions

    Refer to Fig. 3 and Table 2 for the pin definitions of the
    BDE-BLEM201 module. Connect the required GPIOs, I2C, USART, and
    other interfaces as per your application requirements.

  4. Step 4: Data Transfer

    Use the integrated Bluetooth Low Energy stack to establish
    connections with other devices. The module supports master and
    slave modes, allowing for simultaneous connections in master mode.
    Utilize the provided data interfaces (I2C and USART) for data
    transfer.

  5. Step 5: Compliance and Certification

    Ensure that your product complies with FCC, CE, and RoHS
    standards as the BDE-BLEM201 module is already certified for these
    standards.

  6. Step 6: Application Examples

    The BDE-BLEM201 module is suitable for various applications
    including medical devices, sports and fitness equipment, home
    electronics, mobile and PC accessories, and industry automation.
    Customize the module’s functionality to meet the requirements of
    your specific application.

Descriptions
BDE-BLEM201 is a Bluetooth 5.0 single-mode compliant Bluetooth low energy module targeted at low power sensors and PC/Phone accessories.
BDE-BLEM201 highly integrates Bluetooth Low Energy radio, stack, profile and applications in a SoC, without the need of using an external MCU. The module also offers flexible hardware interfaces for the sensor application.
It enables ultra low power connectivity and data transfer for the applications that are sensitive to power consumption, size and cost.

Overall Dimensions

Fig. 2 shows the overall dimensions of BDE-BLEM201. The module measures 16.55mm long by 10.88mm wide by 1.5mm high without board level shield.
