Installation
- The Hero should be installed in the back seat of a vehicle
- There are 3 mandatory points of installation:
- Engaged ISOFIX system
- The support leg must be extended to the appropriate length to suit the vehicle. The leg must be in contact with the floor of the footwell
- Damping bracket set to be in contact with vehicle backrest
- The vehicle 3 point seatbelt is not required for installation or use
- Install the child seat in the car in such a way that it is not trapped by the front seat or the vehicle doors
Use
- Before each journey, check the ISOFIX is secured, support leg in place, and damping bracket is in the correct position.
- Ensure the swivel is also locked
- Place the child in the car seat, ensuring the shoulder straps are in line with the top of the shoulders
- Ensure the buckle is done up at the front of the child, you should hear an audible click
- The harness should then be tightened using the grey strap at the front of the seat to ensure a supportive and snug fit
- The harness webbing must not be twisted or trapped and must be completely tightened
- If required, use the grey button on the side of the base to swivel the Hero.
- Ensure child has not outgrown the weight capacity which is 18kg. If child is approaching this weight limit, consider review of their safe transport plan
- Periodically check for loose or missing parts
