Product Usage Instructions

  1. Connect an AC Adaptor (PSA series; optional) to the DC IN jack
for continuous power supply without worrying about battery
    power.
  2. If using batteries, install them in the unit even when using
the AC adaptor to ensure uninterrupted performance in case the AC
    adaptor gets accidentally disconnected.
  3. Adjust the LEVEL knob to set the desired volume when the effect
    is on.
  4. Use the BLEND knob to adjust the output balance between the
direct sound and the effect sound.
  5. Monitor the CHECK indicator to determine if the effect is on or
off. If the indicator goes dim or does not light at all, replace
the battery. Refer to the user manual for instructions on changing
    the battery.
  6. Adjust the DRIVE knob to control the amount of overdrive.
Turning it clockwise increases the effect (distortion).
  7. Use the HIGH knob to adjust the sound level of the upper range
    when the effect is on.
  8. Connect the OUTPUT jack to your amp or another effect unit for
    audio output.
  9. Connect the LINE OUT jack to a mixer or recorder using a
    balanced (TRS) cable.
  10. Use the LOW knob to adjust the sound level of the lower range
    when the effect is on.
  11. Connect your bass or other musical instrument, or another
effects unit, to the INPUT jack. The power to the unit is turned on
when you plug into the INPUT jack and turned off when the cable is
    unplugged.
  12. To conserve battery power, disconnect the plug from the INPUT
jack when not using the effects unit.

Panel Descriptions

DC IN jack

Accepts connection of an AC Adaptor (PSA series; optional). By using an AC Adaptor, you can play without being concerned about how much battery power you have left.

* Use only the specified AC adaptor (PSA series; sold separately), and connect it to an AC outlet of the correct voltage. Do not use any other AC adaptor, since this may cause malfunction.

* If the AC adaptor is connected while a battery is installed, the power supply is drawn from the AC adaptor.
* We recommend that you keep batteries installed in the unit even though you’ll be powering it with the AC adaptor. That way, you’ll be able to continue a performance even if the cord of the AC adaptor gets accidently disconnected from the unit.

Precautions When Connecting
5 To prevent malfunction and equipment failure, always turn down the volume, and turn off all the units before making any connections.
5 Once the connections have been completed, turn on power to your various devices in the order specified. By turning on devices in the wrong order, you risk causing malfunction and/or damage to speakers and other devices. When powering up: Turn on the power to your bass amp last. When powering down: Turn off the power to your bass amp first.
5 This unit is equipped with a protection circuit. A brief interval (a few seconds) after power up is required before the unit will operate normally.
Use of Battery
5 A battery was installed in the unit before it left the factory. The life of this battery may be limited, however, since its primary purpose was to enable testing.
5 If you handle batteries improperly, you risk explosion and fluid leakage. Make sure that you carefully observe all of the items related to batteries that are listed in “USING THE UNIT SAFELY” and “IMPORTANT NOTES” (supplied on a separate sheet).
5 When operating on battery power only, the unit’s indicator will become dim when battery power gets too low. Replace the battery as soon as possible.
5 Batteries should always be installed or replaced before connecting any other devices. This way, you can prevent malfunction and damage.
5 The use of an AC adaptor is recommended as the unit’s power consumption is relatively high. Should you prefer to use batteries, please use the alkaline type.
