72133-66 Noble Hill Black Outdoor Hardwired Wall Lantern Sconce
Product Information
The product being installed is a Model #72133-66 fixture. The
installation instructions include preparing for installation,
connecting the wires, and finishing the installation.
The installation process involves shutting off power at the fuse
or circuit breaker, removing the old fixture with mounting
hardware, unpacking the new fixture and laying out all parts,
positioning the mounting plate on the wall, attaching the mounting
plate to the outlet box with outlet box screws, securing the
mounting plate with woodscrews, installing glass panels into the
holder of fixture body, and installing candelabra base bulbs up to
60 watts or CFL or LED equivalent in accordance with the fixture
specification.
The fixture has three wires: black (hot), white (neutral), and
green or bare copper (ground). The electrical wires are connected
with wire connectors, ensuring they are secured. If the outlet box
has a ground wire, connect the fixture’s ground wire to it.
Otherwise, connect the fixture’s ground wire directly to the
mounting plate using a green screw provided.
To prevent moisture from entering the outlet box and causing a
short, clear silicone sealant should be used to outline the outside
of the back plate where it meets the wall, leaving a space at the
bottom to allow moisture a means to escape.
It is important to note that the fixture should be installed by
a qualified electrician to ensure proper wiring and
installation.
