INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

FOR DETECTOR PORTABLE WHEELCHAIR AND STRETCHER SCALE RAMPS

UNPACKING
Before starting to assemble, please unpack and remove all wrappings and fillers. Carton contains:

ASSEMBLY

Refer to Figures No. 1, 2, and 3, then follow the instructions for attaching the ramps.

NOTE: On the 6550, 6560, 6570, and 8550, ensure the column(s) are locked onto scale platform.

  1. Lift scale and place the platform on its side in the transport position. Have an assistant hold the platform while installing the ramps.
  2. Attach each ramp in the following sequence:
    • Begin with top rubber mount. Apply thread locker to the first screw. Then, while holding ramp against top rubber mount, hand thread the screw into top rubber mount (Figure No. 1).
    • Next, apply thread locker to the second screw, and while holding ramp against the bottom rubber mount, hand thread screw into the bottom rubber mount.
    • Tighten both screws with supplied 5/32” Short Hex Key (Figure No. 2).
      NOTE: When installing screws into rubber mount, be careful not to over-tighten.
  3. Repeat Step 2 for the ramp on another side of the platform. The finished assembly should look like Figure No. 3.DETECTO 6400 Portable Wheelchair and Stretcher Scale Ramps fig 1
