Product Information: Laboratory Filtration / Glass Filtration Apparatus

The Laboratory Filtration / Glass Filtration Apparatus is available in two models: VF 3 and VF 12. The VF 3 model features a borosilicate glass-made filter holder and flask that provides extraordinary chemical resistance. The VF 12 model allows for filtration and storage directly in a GL45 bottle with a patented filtration adaptor. The product is used for the purification of organic, corrosive liquids such as solvents, mobile phases for HPLC, GC, and AA analysis.

VF 3, 47 mm Glass Filtration Set:

  • Glass Filter Holder (300 mL)
  • Glass funnel, 300 mL (x2)
  • Aluminum clamp, 47 mm
  • Sintered glass support base w/ tubulated cap, 47 mm (with screw thread connector)
  • Ground joint flask, 1000 mL
  • Silicone fixing sucker

VF 12, 47 mm Glass Filtration Set:

  • Glass Filter Holder (300 mL)
  • Glass funnel, 300 mL (x2)
  • Aluminum clamp, 47 mm
  • Sintered glass support base, 47 mm (Including No.8 silicone stopper)
  • GL45 filtration adaptor
  • Laboratory glass bottle, 1000 mL

Product Usage Instructions

  1. Assemble the glass filtration apparatus according to the instructions provided in the user manual.
  2. Select the appropriate membrane filter for your application and place it on the membrane support.
  3. Place the funnel on the filter holder and clamp it securely in place using the aluminum clamp.
  4. Add the liquid to be filtered to the funnel.
  5. Connect the hose barb to a vacuum source and apply vacuum to the flask to start the filtration process.
  6. After filtration is complete, disconnect the vacuum source and remove the funnel from the filter holder.
  7. If using the VF 12 model, filter and store directly in the GL45 bottle with the patented filtration adaptor.
  8. Clean and sterilize the glass filtration apparatus before and after each use.
