Product Usage Instructions

To use the endodontic instruments, follow these steps:

1. Ensure that the instrument rings are in the desired size and
   taper. The thin ring tapers are available in .02, .04, .06, and .08
   sizes. The large ring sizes are available in ISO sizes 19/8mm,
   21/16mm, 25/16mm, and 31/16mm.
2. Set the instrument to continuous rotation mode.
3. Apply a torque of 1.5 Ncm.
4. Before using the instruments, make sure that the patient does
   not have a known allergic sensitivity to Nickel-Titanium metals.
   These instruments should not be used on individuals with such
   allergies.
5. There are no known adverse reactions associated with the use of
   these instruments.
6. Use the instruments to determine the anatomy of the root
   canals, including their length, width, and curvature. Take X-rays
   from different angles to accurately assess the root canals.
7. Dispose of the instruments in accordance with the applicable
   laws and regulations for medical waste disposal.
8. For cleaning and sterilization methods, refer to the FKG
   Dentaire SA website at www.fkg.ch.

Indications for use: RACE® EVO endodontic instruments are intended for use in medical or hospital facilities, by qualified health professionals.
RACE® EVO instruments are designed for accessing, glide path and shaping of root canals.
RACE® EVO instruments are to be used with gentle strokes of 2-3 mm, applying very light apical pressure and allowing the instrument to progress passively along the canal. After 3 strokes, remove and clean the instrument, then irrigate; recapitulate with an ISO 010 hand file. If necessary, a brushing motion may be applied to remove coronal interferences and/or ensure uniform shaping of irregular canals.
Contraindications: Nickel-Titanium instruments must not be used on individuals with a known allergic sensitivity to these metals.
Adverse reactions: None known.
Notice and precautions: · Take several radiographs from different angles
to determine the anatomy of the root canals (length, width and curvature).
· The number of canals to be treated with a RACE® EVO instrument is limited to a maximum of 8 root canals.
· Irrigate the canal thoroughly and frequently after the RACE® EVO instrument is extracted.
· Regularly inspect the RACE® EVO instrument during use, and discard if it shows any signs of wear (for example: straightening).
· If the RACE® EVO instrument is not progressing easily, remove it from the canal, clean it, inspect its cutting edges, then irrigate the canal and recapitulate with an ISO 010 hand file.
· Always inspect the instrument(s) before use, and discard (it) them if there are any visible defect(s).

Indications d’utilisation: Les instruments endodontiques RACE® EVO sont destinés à une utilisation en milieu médical ou hospitalier, par des professionnels de santé qualifiés. Les instruments RACE® EVO sont destinés à l’accès, au cathétérisme et à la mise en forme des canaux radiculaires. Les instruments RACE® EVO s’utilisent à l’aide de légers mouvements de va-et-vient de 2-3 mm et en exerçant une pression apicale très faible afin de laisser l’instrument progresser de manière passive le long du canal. Après 3 mouvements de va-et-vient, retirer et nettoyer l’instrument, puis irriguer; récapituler avec une lime manuelle ISO 010. Si nécessaire, un mouvement de brossage peut être appliqué afin de supprimer les interférences coronaires et/ou uniformiser la mise en forme des canaux irréguliers.
Contre-indications: Les instruments en nickel-titane ne doivent pas être utilisés sur des individus ayant une sensibilité allergique connue à ces métaux.
Effets indésirables: Aucun connu.
Mise en garde et précautions: · Prendre plusieurs radiographies d’angles
différents afin de déterminer l’anatomie (longueur, largeur et courbure) des canaux radiculaires.
· Le nombre de canaux traités avec un instrument RACE® EVO est limité à 8 canaux radiculaires maximum.
· Irriguer abondamment et fréquemment le canal après l’extraction d’un instrument RACE® EVO.
· Inspecter régulièrement l’instrument RACE® EVO lors de son utilisation, et jeter le s’il présente des signes d’usure (par exemple: détorse).
· Lorsqu’un instrument RACE® EVO progresse difficilement, il faut le retirer du canal, le nettoyer, vérifier ses arrêtes coupantes, puis irriguer le canal et récapituler avec une lime manuelle ISO 010.
· Inspecter toujours le(s) instrument(s) avant utilisation et jeter le(s) s’il(s) présente(nt) tout défaut visible.

Indikationen: Die RACE® EVO Endodontie-Instrumente sind für den Einsatz in Arztpraxen und Kliniken durch qualifiziertes medizinisches Fachpersonal bestimmt. Die RACE® EVO Instrumente sind für die Zugangsund Gleitpfaderstellung sowie die Aufbereitung von Wurzelkanälen bestimmt. Die RACE® EVO Instrumente mit sanften Einund Auswärtsbewegungen von 2-3 mm und mit sehr wenig Druck nach apikal passiv in den Kanal eindringen lassen. Nach drei Ein- und Auswärtsbewegungen das Instrument entfernen und reinigen, dann spülen; mit einer Handfeile ISO 010 rekapitulieren. Gegebenenfalls kann eine Bürstbewegung vorgenommen werden, um koronale Interferenzen zu beseitigen und/ oder um unregelmäßige Kanäle gleichmäßig aufzubereiten.

Kontraindikationen: Nickel-Titan-Instrumente dürfen bei Personen, die eine bekannte Allergie gegen diese Metalle haben, nicht verwendet werden.

Unerwünschte Wirkungen: Keine bekannt.

· Bei Schwergängigkeit des RACE® EVO Instruments muss es aus dem Kanal entfernt, gereinigt und seine schneidenden Kanten überprüft werden. Anschließend den Kanal spülen und mit einer Handfeile ISO 010 rekapitulieren.

· Jedes Instrument vor der Verwendung prüfen und bei sichtbarem Mangel entsorgen.
