
Instructions For Use
The e-Ruler dental device is used by to measure files and instruments used during endodontic procedures. This compact ruler is independently worn on the finger of dental professional while performing an endodontic procedure.
A. Before assembly, choose one of three available ring sizes (small, medium or large) that best fits your index finger. Slide the selected ring into the ruler channel located underneath. To secure the locking mechanism, press the ring and ruler against a flat surface. The ring will be permanently attached to ruler. Do NOT attempt to remove.
B. When using rubber stops, utilize the stop locks on the ruler (only on Stop-Lock version) to increase or decrease the instrument’s working length. The ruler performs well with paper points, gutta percha and many other endodontic instruments.
PROCESSING INSTRUCTIONS
Precleaning Instructions: Rinse the e-Ruler under tap water to remove gross and visible soils. Use a scrub brush if necessary to remove visible soils. Place the e-Ruler in an ultrasonic bath with only an enzymatic detergent prepared to the manufactures directions. Fully immerse the item and soak for 1 minute. Then sonicate the e-Ruler for 5 minutes and remove and rinse for 15 seconds with tap water. Inspect for any soils and repeat if any soils are visible.
Steam Autoclave Processing Instructions: Place the e-Ruler in an FDA approved or ISO 11607 compliant autoclave pouch/bag. During steam autoclave processing, place all components near center of the chamber. Do not exceed temperature of 275°F (135°C). (1805)

Warning: After multiple uses, if any component of the e-Ruler demonstrates cracking, fractures or any loss of integrity dispose and replace with a new e-Ruler.
Warning: Do not place any components into Surgical Milk, “cold sterilizing solutions” or instrument dips prior to autoclave processing. Only use enzymatic ultrasonic detergents when precleaning the EndoRing cup and the metal ruler in ultrasonic cleaners. Report any serious incident with this device to Jordco Corporation and the governing medical device authorities in your country. (2006)
