Accurex Gcc Metal Building Curb Instruction Manual

GCC Metal Building Curb

Product Information: Metal Building Curb

The Metal Building Curb is a component used for the installation
of roofing systems. It is designed to be compatible with all
standing seam and corrugated roof profiles where the ribs are less
than 4 inches tall. The curb is constructed to ensure a secure and
weather-tight connection between the roof panel and the building
structure.

It is important to note that the installation of the Metal
Building Curb should be done in accordance with the roofing
manufacturer’s installation guide to ensure warranty validity.
Failure to comply with the installation instructions may result in
voiding the product warranty and can pose a risk of personal injury
and property damage.

Product Usage Instructions

  1. Place the curb in the desired location on the roof panel and
mark the location of the four inside corners of the roof curb.
  2. Cut the roof panel to match the inside dimension of the curb.
On the peak side of the roof, cut it to the inside dimension of the
    curb plus 5 inches.
  3. Slit the roof panel back so that the peak side flange can be
    tucked underneath the roof panel.
  4. Apply caulking or sealant to the roof panel where the roof curb
flanges will sit on the roof deck. Ensure that all four sides are
    caulked.
  5. Position the watershed cricket on the peak side of the roof and
slide the flange (with cricket) underneath the roof panel.
  6. Push the curb flush to the opening on the eave side of the
    roof.
  7. Fasten the curb flanges with self-tapping fasteners with
neoprene washers to the roof panels according to local/state code.
Recommended fastener spacing is 4 inches o.c. or less. Securely
fasten the curb to the framing or joists.
  8. After the installation is complete, caulk all joints and edges,
including the back slits. On the eave side, seal the rib to the
interior curb face. On the peak side, the ribs should be capped and
sealed (caps and sealant not provided).

It is recommended to refer to the provided figures and
illustrations in the manual for better understanding of the
