VivaSpring Compact Shower Filter Installation
Installation
- Remove your existing shower head from the shower arm (pipe) by turning it counterclockwise.
- Clean away any debris that may be on the threaded portion of the shower arm. Wrap the included plumber’s tape tightly around the shower arm threads 2 or 3 times to prevent leaking.
- Unscrew the protective caps from both ends of the CSF and discard properly.
- Screw the CSF onto the shower arm (pipe) clockwise until tight. Use an adjustable wrench to tighten the connection if needed.
- Wrap the included plumber’s tape tightly around the threads on the CSF’s showerhead connection 2 or 3 times. Re-install your shower head by turning it clockwise, by hand, until tight. Use an adjustable wrench to tighten the connection if needed.
- Turn water on and check for leaks (see the Troubleshooting section in the event of a leak). Flush the FF-30 Filter Cartridge by running the shower for 2 minutes, or until the water runs clear.
CAUTION: Risk of Personal Injury! If the water temperature is set too high, scalding will occur. The water temperature should never be set above 120°F (49°C). Do not use this Brondell low-flow product with a shower valve that allows the water temperature to become too hot.

Before You Begin
When installing the VivaSpring Compact Shower Filter (CSF) or changing the FF-30 Filter Cartridge for the first time, rubber gloves are recommended for a better grip on the housing.
While installing or re-installing the CSF, we recommended wrapping a rag or small towel around the inlet collar before you tighten with a wrench to avoid scratching the finish.
