Introduction

This 18Gbps HDMI Extender can extend high-definition video/audio signal, RS-232, and bi-directional IR. The distance is up to 492ft / 150 meters between the transmitter and receiver via a single CAT cable. It supports resolutions up to 4K2K@60Hz 4:4:4, 18Gbps, and HDCP 2.2. One HDMI loop port is available for output. The extender also supports de-embedded audio for L/R audio output. In addition, the extender is equipped with a two-way IR pass-through, which allows for source and display control. This HDMI extender includes two units: a transmitter unit and a receiver unit. The transmitter unit is responsible for capturing the HDMI input signal and carrying the sign via one cost-effective Cat5e/6 cable and transmitting/emitting IR control signals. The receiver unit is responsible for receiving the HDMI signal and transmitting/emitting the IR control signal. The extender offers the most convenient solution for HDMI extension via a single Cat5e/6 with long-distance capability and is the perfect solution for any application.

Features

  • HDCP 2.2 / HDCP 1.4 and DVI 1.0 compliant

Audio Embedding and De-embedding
The Transmitter supports audio embedding and de-embedding. The L/R IN/OUT port can be used for audio embedding, or de-embedding through the L/R IN/OUT switch.

TX Audio Embedding
When the L/R IN/OUT switch is switched to the left, the audio from the external audio device will be embedded in the L/R IN/OUT port.VigilLink-VLEX-HT3100U-TR-HDBaseT-3.0-Extender-FIG-9

TX Audio De-embedding
When the L/R IN/OUT switch is switched to the right, The L/R IN/OUT port will output the audio de-embedded from the HDMI IN port.VigilLink-VLEX-HT3100U-TR-HDBaseT-3.0-Extender-FIG-10

USB Mode Applications
The Extender supports USB2.0 transmission, and the Host/Device is configurable.

Mode 1: USB forward from TX to RX Switch the HOST/DEVICE USB switch to the left, then power off and reboot the transmitter to set it to USB Host mode. Meanwhile, switch the DEVICE/HOST USB switch to the left, then power off and reboot the receiver to put it in USB Device mode.VigilLink-VLEX-HT3100U-TR-HDBaseT-3.0-Extender-FIG-11

Mode 2: USB reverse from RX to TX Switch the HOST/DEVICE USB switch to the right, then power off and reboot the transmitter to set it to USB Device mode. Meanwhile, switch the DEVICE/HOST USB switch to the right, then power off and reboot the receiver to put it in USB Host mode.VigilLink-VLEX-HT3100U-TR-HDBaseT-3.0-Extender-FIG-12

IR Pin Definition
IR Receiver and Blaster pin’s definition is as below:VigilLink-VLEX-HT3100U-TR-HDBaseT-3.0-Extender-FIG-13

Note: When the angle between the IR receiver and the remote control is ± 45 °, the transmission distance is 0-5 meters; when the angle between the IR receiver and the remote control is ± 90 °, the transmission distance is 0-8 meters.
