Our waterproof Bluetooth speakers work with a variety of gadgets, including the iPhone, iPod, tablets, Samsung Galaxy, and more. - CHARGING: In order to charge your speaker’s internal battery, connect one end of the included USB cable to the charging port on your speaker. Connect the other to a USB port or AC charging adapter (not included). The LED Light indicator turns red when charging, and turns of when fully charged. Charging may take up to 3 hours.
- PAIRING YOUR SPEAKER WITH A BLUETOOTH PHONE
- Press and hold the Power button for around 5s. Your speaker will enter pairing mode with voice once powered on.
- Go to the Bluetooth Manager of your Bluetooth device. Search Bluetooth devices and select “JH2O Mini” to start connecting.
- If required, enter the PIN code ” 0000 ” and confirm the entry. Once paired, you will hear your speaker audibly say: “You are now paired, enjoy.”
- LISTENING TO MUSIC ON YOUR SPEAKER PLAY/PAUSE
- PLAY/PAUSE: Press the Power button to get music from your audio source to play or pause.
- NEXT/PREVIOUS SONG: Press and hold the Volume + or Volume- buttons for 2s to advance to the next song or go back to the previous one.
- INCREASE/DECREASE VOLUME: Press and hold the Volume + or Volume – buttons to increase or decrease the volume.
- PLAY/PAUSE: Press the Power button to get music from your audio source to play or pause.
- WIRED EXTERNAL AUDIO INPUT
You can also use the included 3.5mm Auxiliary Cable to connect audio devices through the AUX In port on your speaker.

If product is exposed to salt water we recommend that you rinse it off with tap water to maintain proper long term performance of your product
If your speaker is paired with an iOS device that is capable of running the Siri audio personal assistant application, you can use your speaker to activate Siri. To do so, press the power button 3 times.

It comes with a short charging wire but I use the same charger that I have for my Samsung galaxy.

Have any other reviewers been disappointed in the rechargeable battery? How long has the rechargeable battery lasted?
No, you should try to exchage it for a new one. My speaker lasts for weeks.
How many watts is this speaker?
I would thing around 5 to 10, great for close listening, I bought for my grandkids to listen in tub or pool.
My device won’t pair or even show that the speaker is on. What’s wrong?
I use an iPhone. I just go to settings for Bluetooth and click on pair lifejacket 2. If your using an android phone I’m not sure.
Is this mini h2o the same as a h2o 3?
No, and the seller does not have the accurate description of what they’re shipping. The description does not match the product and Amazon will not remove the listing.
Does this turn off automatically if music is not playing for a while ?
Although I haven’t checked with this mini one (I just got it a few days ago) my other Altec speakers turn off after about 30 minutes of inactivity.
Can I leave it plugged in 24/7, so I can listen to it while I sleep? or will it burn out, or overheat?
Go to Walmart and buy it there here on Amazon they have bad battery.
Can this be paired with multiple devices?
If you are referring to house party mode, unfortunately this device does not support that function. Here is a current list of Altec speakers that do.
does this work with laptops?
Don’t know about laptop but works great with a tablet.
