The AC16 is an ultra-compact full-range loudspeaker system designed to provide maximum bandwidth and SPL in a single system package and yet be visually unobtrusive. The enclosure design allows for installation very close to walls and ceilings making it an ideal choice for under balcony, column, or wall mounting. The high-frequency device is a 1” exit compression driver integrated into a newly designed 90° x 90° PT™ (Progressive Transition) waveguide providing even coverage throughout the intended listening area. The combination exhibits smooth power response resulting in extremely natural voicing. The AC16 utilizes a 6.5” Symmetrical Field Geometry (SFG™) LF Transducer with a copper-clad aluminum edge wound 2” voice coil and a copper-clad pole piece that improves performance by reducing voice coil inductance and distortion.
The rugged multi-ply hardwood enclosure is designed to work in the vertical plane as well as in the horizontal plane. Mounting points are provided for an optional U-bracket and for an OmniMount® type bracket. The AC16 is also equipped with attachment points located on the bottom of the enclosure for a stand-mount accessory.
The rugged plywood enclosure features JBL’s textured DuraFlex™ finish and is equipped with heavy-duty powder-coated steel, foam-backed grille.

FAQS
What kinds of headset mics and body packs go with this?
Any type of mic should work. Cardiods will require ch1 or 2 for phantom power.
What kind of cable is needed for the AUX input?
Auxiliary stereo inputs are provided on Channel pairs 5/6 and 7/8. Channels 5/6 provide 1/4″ TS receptacles or RCA connections. Channels 7/8 offer either 1/4″ TS receptacles or a 3.5mm stereo receptacle.
If I have a separate mixer, am I able somehow to just set the settings so that this acts like an amplifier for a separate mixer?
You could plug a mono or stereo mixer into this.
On the speaker wires what type of end does it have, are both ends the same?
Yes both ends is the same
It is rechargeable?
These speakers are not powered; so therefore not chargeable. They plug into an outlet, so they’ll work every time for as long asnecessary unless you damage something
Can anyone suggest speaker stands for these?
They are lightweight so any should do, if you want quality go in-store or read reviews.
Can these be mounted on a tripod? Are brackets needed?
The speakers have a 1.5″ D x 2″ deep hole for mounting on a stand. Don’t think it needs a bracket.
What size is the hole in the bottom of the speaker for the pole stand?
The hole in the bottom of the speaker stand is about one and a half inches wide.
is it dual voltage–work in Europe 220 v?
No dual voltage. And when I bought could not find the option to choose 220V, received a 110V unit. Which stopped working before warranty but was not repaired! I do not recommend it.
can I get a wireless mic with this JBL system?
Two. With the compact and portable design, the receiver is in the middle and the speakers are attached and come apart on the left and right side.
Can this connect with the jbl on 615?
Yes
how to record live song with this device?
You’ll have to connect a recorder to it.
How is the quality of the built-in reverb?
Very good. It has a lot of adjustment. You can go way over the top with reverb. My husband has been a professional singer for the last 40 years and he loves this system. Even when we have a venue that has it’s own system that we could use we choose to use our own. The reverb makes his voice sound even better than normal and the ability to adjust bass and treble just helps fine tune everything. You will love this system!
Can anyone recommend a powered subwoofer that will complement the EON208 system?
Clean the JBL website.
