FAQS

Does this Lens come with Hood?

Yes, it comes with a detachable hood that can be fitted in reverse in order to pack it in a lens case. The interesting thing is that the hood comes with a little window on the side that opens and closes to let you adjust your polarizing filter.

Does it work with fujiX100f?

No. The x100F is a fixed lens camera. You’ll need a body such as the XT2 that uses interchangeable lenses.

Anybody use the 100-400 with the 2x tc. How’s the image quality?

There will be image quality degradation using the X2. The x1.4 is better at keeping image quality compared to no extender.

Rotates just a tiny bit (maybe 3-5 degrees) when locked on my x-pro2, is this cause for concern?

This does not occur on my X-Pro2. The question is do the lens and body electronic contacts align so that the lens operates correctly? If so, then there is no problem, if not, there is a defect.

How’s the autofocus speed? Good enough for bird photography?

Very good autofocus speed with xpro2 and fairly decent light. Have obtained photos easily equal to the Nikon 100-400 (newer version). Seemed to focus quickly on hawk in a dark tree but I haven ‘t evaluated that too carefully. Focus has been accurate. Good sharp pictures.

Is Fuji 100 400 worth it?

The Fujinon XF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 R LM OIS WR lens is a serious telephoto zoom! If you’re looking for a long telephoto lens for your Fujifilm X camera, your options are very limited, and this one might be your best bet; however, it’s bulky, heavy and, with an MSRP of $1,900, very expensive.

What is LM OIS WR?

5-5.6 R LM OIS WR is a super telephoto zoom lens that covers a 35mm focal length equivalent of 152-609mm. The high performance optical construction of 21 elements in 14 groups includes five ED lenses and one Super ED lens to help reduce chromatic aberration that often occurs in telephoto lenses

Is Fuji 50 140 worth it?

From a build quality standpoint, the Fujifilm XF 50-140mm f/2.8 is one of the most well-built lenses Fujifilm puts out. The lens feels like a premium product and it’s weather-sealed to the nines. It’s an expensive lens at just under $1,600 but it’s worth it.

What does the R mean on Fuji lenses?

R – this designation means that a given Fujinon X-mount lens has a dedicated aperture ring. It does not allow direct aperture control – it is not coupled to it by gearing, but is instead electronic.

What does OIS mean in Fuji lens?

If the lens supports optical image stabilization (O.I.S.), the image stabilization mode can be chosen in the camera menus. To activate image stabilization, slide the O.I.S. switch to ON

What is WR in Fujifilm?

List Of Fujifilm Zoom Lenses. A list of all zoom lenses for Fuji XF mount. WR means weather-sealed, OIS optical image stabilization.

Are Fuji lenses good?

Fujifilm’s XC lenses are designed for lightness and low cost, but they still perform remarkably well. Very compact and lightweight for a telephoto zoom, the Fujifilm XC50-230mm f/4.5-6.7 OIS II keeps things simple and affordable

Are XF lenses better than XC?

The main difference between the two are that XF lenses are made of metal with a metal lens mount whereas an XC lens is mostly plastic construction. Being made of plastic does mean that the lenses are lighter however they are not quite as robust as the metal construction of the XF lenses

How do you turn on OIS Fuji?

If the lens supports optical image stabilization (O.I.S.), the image stabilization mode can be chosen in the camera menus. To activate image stabilization, slide the O.I.S. switch to ON
