All steps must be followed to ensure the CURT brake control harness will function properly. Once installed test for proper function by following the brake control unit instruction manual. Vehicles not equipped with an OEM trailer tow package may require fuses and relays to complete output and battery feed circuits (sold separately). Consult owners manual for locations.

Step 1
Carefully remove the storage pocket in the center of the dashboard, just above the vehicle ashtray. Locate the grey, 4-pin vehicle brake control harness connector. It will be connected to the back of the storage pocket. The connector will be similar to that on the CURT brake control harness.
Step 2
Separate the vehicle harness from the storage pocket. Insert the connector on the CURT brake control harness into the vehicle connector. Make sure the connector is fully inserted with locking tabs in place.
Step 3
Insert the brake control harness’s black connector into the brake control’s quick plug connector. Secure the brake control harness with the provided cable ties, avoiding any pinch points.
Step 4
Complete the installation using the brake control instructions. Mount the unit as directed and perform test procedures as instructed in the brake controller user manual.
