Frequently Asked Questions
No. It is a straightforward, simple model. The ground becomes finer as you continue to mill it. Do small spurts a few times if you want to get it courses.
Take hold of the unit’s bottom and pull it down. You may UNROLL the chord from the holder by sliding the grey piece down about an inch. Push the grey piece back up when the cord has been untied. The other one is effective, but I don’t enjoy using it for coffee, herbs, and spices at the same time. I prefer front buttons to top buttons since they are better for my arthritic hand.
Only 110 volts can power a grinder. However, I believe that using a 220v outlet is not a bad idea so you can quickly end your pain. Avoid purchasing this garbage. The cup on mine started to crack after less than a year of mild use, and after less than three years it actually broke apart. Despite the fact that I never dropped it, hit it with anything, or knocked it against anything other than the palm of my hand to get spices out of it, the cup on mine did.
No, the coffee grinder simply has a cord and no batteries.
My first one from around five years ago is still with me. It’s still the one I owned that was the QUIETEST. I’m currently adding it to my Christmas wish list because I need a backup. The grinder bowl was dropped in January (on its edge and on tiled flooring), but it is still in excellent condition. Simply put, I just want to make sure I have a plan B in case this thing doesn’t work out. To be clear, I alone am to blame for this break, not the manufacturers. Just for how quietly it functions, this device is my favorite.
Yes, the bowl and blade (as a single piece) can be removed for simple cleaning.
It says produced in China.
After twisting, it ought to come out immediately. If not, it might be clogged with tiny flax seed fragments. To get the junk out, try giving it a gentle tap. Continue to tap, twist, and pull. You’ll be successful.
It works well with flax seeds. At snack time at work, I use it four days per week.
Since I’ve only ground flax seed and coffee beans so far, I would assume that it would. I suppose I could worry about losing part of the powdered medication. If the powder is finely milled, it adheres to the chamber’s walls and the blades. If I don’t finish a meal item, it’s not a big concern, but prescription dosage is more exact.
Remove the cup from the grinder, and then flip it over. The metal cup is fastened to the plastic cup with 4 screws. To separate the two, remove these screws. Before putting them back together, make sure they are both completely dry. (Avoid over tightening the screws as this may cause the plastic to break.)
With the lid on, it stands around 8 inches tall. After removal, six inches.
Although she grinds seeds like coffee, cacao, and others since she is unable to grind salt, I have never tried to make coarse salt.
