TT0001 Ultrasonic Obstacle Detection
Product Information
The product is a sensor kit that requires proper installation to
prevent false detections caused by detecting the ground. The kit
comes with an installation guide that includes a fitting section
and a table of recommended mounting heights and sleeve marks for
angled sleeves. The minimum sensor fitment height must not be less
than 40cm from the ground.
The product can be adjusted to different sensor mounting heights
using angled sleeves to enable the sensor to work correctly without
any false detections. The sleeve angles have been specified at the
given heights for guidance. Heights between those shown may require
testing with alternative sleeve angle to achieve optimum detection
performance.
The table of recommended mounting heights and sleeve marks is as
follows:

Product Usage Instructions
- Ensure that the minimum sensor fitment height of 40cm from the
ground is met. - Refer to the table of recommended mounting heights and sleeve
marks to determine the appropriate sleeve mark for the desired
sensor mounting height. - Install the sensor kit according to the fitting section of the
installation guide. - If the desired sensor mounting height is not shown in the
table, test with alternative sleeve angles to achieve optimum
detection performance.

For the different sensor mounting heights, angled sleeves may be required to enable the sensor to work correctly without any false detections.
The sleeves can only be orientated through 180°, as the sensor must be fitted with the word UP on the top. There are five different angle sleeves, ranging from 0° to 26°. See Table 1 for recommended sleeves. The sleeve recommendations are assuming that the mounting surface is 90° to the ground. (Any mounting surface angle must be taken into consideration and sleeve angle may need to be increased/decreased accordingly).
