2010+ 4Runner Cat Skid Guard Install Notes
2010plus 4Runner Cat Skid Guard
Tools Needed:
- 14mm ratcheting wrench (Flex head preferred)
- 12mm socket and ratchet.
- Allen Key (provided)
- A friend (to help lift and hold in place)
- First, install the smaller plate to the back of the transmission crossmember.
○ Use the two provided carriage bolts, lock washers, washers and nuts.
■ Note: the longer of the two bolts is used near the outside of the plate on the passenger (frame) side.
○ Tighten down by hand using your 14mm ratcheting wrench.
- Next, remove the two factory rear skid plate bolts with a 12mm socket.

- Now it is time to lift up the Cat Skid Guard and loosely fit up the two rear carriage bolts to the transmission crossmember.

- Install the included spacers between the factory skid plate and Cat Skid Guard.
Use the provided hardware and Allen key to tighten down.

- Finish it off by tightening down the two rear carriage bolts fully with your 14mm ratcheting wrench, (flex head recommended). Adjust as needed.
