Rungu Standard Dualie Mudguards Installation Guide

Standard Dualie Mudguards

Product Information: Rungu Rear Mudguard

The Rungu Rear Mudguard is an accessory designed to install onto
the Rungu Dualie Standard and Rungu Juggernaut bicycles. It
replaces the cargo rack and helps prevent mud and water from
splashing onto the rider’s back while riding in wet conditions. The
mudguard attaches to the seatpost and is adjustable to fit the
rider’s preferences.

Tools Required:

  • 3 mm wrench

Preparing the Mudguard:

  1. Unlatch and open the grip to prepare the mudguard for
    installation.

Adjusting Seatpost Grip:

  1. To ensure a tight grip on the seatpost, adjust the quick
release lever by rotating it clockwise to tighten and
    counterclockwise to loosen.
  2. Repeat the process until the mud flap grips the seatpost
    securely.

Adjusting the Mudguard:

  1. Use a 3 mm wrench to loosen and re-tighten the pivot points to
adjust the attitude of the mudguard and height off the rear
    wheel.
  2. Rungu recommends tilting the mudguard toward the front
    (clockwise) for better protection.
  3. Experiment with adjustments to find what works best for
    you.

Adjusting seatpost grip
The mudguard should have a tight grip on the seatpost so it doesn’t rotate side to side. To adjust the grip, open the grip and rotate the quick release lever clockwise to tighten and counterclockwise to loosen.

Repeat the process until you’re satisfied with how the mud flap grips the seatpost.

Adjusting the mudguard
Use a 3 mm wrench to loosen and re-tighten the pivot points to adjust the attitude (in the aeronautical sense) of the mudguard and height off the rear wheel so that it is 1″-2″ above the rear tire. Rungu recommends tilting the mudguard toward to the front (clockwise) for better protection. Experiment with adjustments to find what works best for you.
