The CFP Standard 4 Zone Conventional Fire Alarm Panel (Part No.
CFP704-4) is a fire alarm control panel that is certified to EN54
Parts 2 & 4 by the LPCB and certified to EN54-13 by Kiwa
Telefication. It has a mains supply of 230V 50/60Hz and a mains
rated current of 350mA maximum. The internal power supply of the
panel is 19V-28.5V (27V nominal) and has a ripple of 7V maximum in
case of battery fault. The total output current is limited to 1.5A
@ 230Vac (ImaxA eq 146mA). The quiescent current is 25mA (mains
failed, internal sounder active, PSU & gen fault LED lit). The
panel can accommodate two 12V 3.2Ah VRLA batteries connected in
series with a minimum battery size of 1.2Ah.

The panel has 4 detector zone circuits with a maximum length per
circuit of 500m. The call point resistor value is between 470 to
680 and the maximum number of devices per detector zone is 25
detectors (or 32 detectors/manual call points combined). There are
also 4 conventional sounder circuits with a maximum length per
circuit of 500m and an EOL resistor value of 6800 5% Tol. 0/25W
(blue, grey, red, gold). The alarm voltage is 27V max, 20V min
(final battery voltage) and the maximum sounder output current is 4
x 200mA (800mA total).

The panel has two auxiliary relays – Aux. Fire and Fault, which
are volt-free single pole changeover with a maximum switch current
of 1A and a maximum switch voltage of 30Vdc. It also has two open
collector outputs – Reset (Active during reset cycle) and Remote
(Active during any unsilenced fire condition provided all relevant
delays have expired). The maximum sink current is 30mA and the
maximum open circuit voltage is 27V.

The panel has two auxiliary inputs – Class Change (constant
sounders) and Alert (pulsed sounders). These inputs can be
connected to 0V to trigger and have a maximum input voltage of 27V
(non-latching). The panel also has engineer (AL3) functions such as
program coincidence (double knock), invoke One Man Walk Test,
program delays, set up zones for non-latching operation, program
sounders to resound (or not resound) when a new zone enters
alarm.

The panel has expansion connections and product dimensions of
380 W x 235 H x D 96mm (hole required for flush mounting = 367 W x
220 H x 75 D mm. No bezel required). It has a plastic lid and base
with RAL7035 textured finish and an IP Rating of IP30. The weight
of the panel without batteries is 1.75kg.

Product Usage Instructions

1. Connect the mains supply of 230V 50/60Hz to the panel.

2. Connect the two 12V 3.2Ah VRLA batteries in series to the
panel.

3. Connect the detectors and manual call points in the four
detector zone circuits with a maximum length per circuit of
500m.

4. Set the call point resistor value between 470 to 680.

5. Connect the sounders in the four conventional sounder
circuits with a maximum length per circuit of 500m and an EOL
resistor value of 6800 5% Tol. 0/25W (blue, grey, red, gold).

6. Connect the auxiliary relays – Aux. Fire and Fault, which are
volt-free single pole changeover with a maximum switch current of
1A and a maximum switch voltage of 30Vdc.

7. Connect the two open collector outputs – Reset (Active during
reset cycle) and Remote (Active during any unsilenced fire
condition provided all relevant delays have expired). The maximum
sink current is 30mA and the maximum open circuit voltage is
27V.

8. Connect the two auxiliary inputs – Class Change (constant

11. Mount the panel using the product dimensions of 380 W x 235
H x D 96mm (hole required for flush mounting = 367 W x 220 H x 75 D
mm. No bezel required).

12. Ensure that the panel has an IP Rating of IP30 and a plastic
lid and base with RAL7035 textured finish.

13. The weight of the panel without batteries is 1.75kg.
