Tip: Refer to the exploded views included with your truck to assist with the installation of the X-Maxx WideMAXX Suspension Kit.
Suspension Tuning
- Remove the two front and two rear shocks from the truck.
- Remove the shock springs from all four shocks.
- Replace the 30wt silicone shock oil in the front and rear shocks with 40wt silicone shock oil (part #5033, sold separately) for optimal suspension performance. Fill the shocks with 100% pure silicone shock oil to help prolong the life of the seals. When adding shock oil, be sure to allow any air bubbles to escape.
- Install the included shock springs (1.346 rates, blue stripe) on all four shocks.
- Reinstall the front and rear shocks on the truck.
- Adjust the shock upper spring retainers until the front and rear driveshafts sit level. Adjust the spring retainers in pairs, equal amounts for both front shocks and both rear shocks.
