Tradeflex Insulated Flexible Duct
Tradeflex is a flexible duct designed for installers who require a less rigid flexible duct. It is compliant with all the requirements of Australian Standard AS 4254 and is available insulated to RM0.6 and RM1.0. Tradeflex is constructed in Australia to Australian standards and is available in two thermal ratings RM0.6 and RM1.0. The insulation complies with the Australian Standard (AS) 4859.1.
Construction of Tradeflex Ducts
The Tradeflex ducts consist of three layers – an inner core, insulation, and an outer jacket.
Inner Core (Plain Nude)
The inner core of Tradeflex plain nude is manufactured from two layers of high-grade clear polyester bonded together with fire-rated resin encapsulating copper-coated spring steel wire.
Insulation
The Tradeflex duct is thermally insulated with a polyester fiber blanket to achieve a nominal thermal rating of either RM0.6 or RM1.0. The insulation complies with the Australian Standard (AS) 4859.1.
Outer Jacket
The outer jacket on Tradeflex is manufactured from one layer of clear and one layer of metallized PET material that is bonded together with fire-resistant resin.
