It is approved for users weighing up to 350 kg and is avai lable in sizes S-XL. The sling is placed around the user’s waist and is secured with the belt buckles and possibly the groin straps. The groin straps have padding and prevents the sling from sliding up. The groin straps are removable. The sling has a non-slip lining inside the waist belt, which helps keep the sling in place.

Warning icon Things to remember
– Read through the manual before starting to use the sling.
– It is important to understand the contents of the user manual before using the equipment. Read the manual for both hoist and sling.
– Molift slings shall only be used to lift persons. Never use the sling to lift or move objects of any kind.
– Make a decision on whether one or more assistants are required. Plan the lifting operation in advance to ensure that it is as safe and smooth as possible. Remember to work ergonomically.
– Lifting and transferring a person always involves a certain risk. Only informed personnel should use the equipment described in this user manual.
If the maximum load (SWL) differs between the sling bar and the sling, the lowest maximum load  should always be used.
– Carry out a risk assessment and document it. As the assistant, you are responsible for the safety of the user.
– Never leave a user unattended in a lifting situation.
– Make sure that the wheels on the wheelchair, bed, etc. are locked during the movement.
– Remove the sling carefully to ensure that there is no sudden fall. The following inspection should be carried out daily or before use

Sling checkpointsMolift BM30499 UnoSling Ambulating Vest - fig14

CheckpointTroubleshooting
1 Safety clearance to hoist – minimises the risk that the user will hit their head.If the sling is too small, the head may come too close to the sling bar.
2 The sling does not fit the user.Wrong sling size. Try another size.
3 The sling is sliding up the user’s back. The user is not able to take load on the legs/feet. Evaluate whether a sling intended for rehabilitation/mobilization training is right or if the user requires a passive lift. The user is wearing too slippery clothes. Change or remove some of the clothing. The sling has been raised without the user leaning forward or the belt not tightened properly. Lower the user, adjust the sling and start over.
