VVDI2 Software and Driver
Product Information: This user manual provides instructions
for installing software and drivers for VVDI2, a product that
allows for easy programming and diagnostics of vehicle keys. The
software installation process is described in detail, including
screenshots of the installation steps. The manual also provides
instructions for manually installing the driver if the automatic
installation fails or if the programs cannot connect to VVDI2.
Product Usage Instructions: To install the software for
VVDI2, follow these steps: 1. Double-click on the install program
to begin the installation. 2. Choose the desired install language.
3. If you are installing VVDI2 software for the first time, click
on “Next” when prompted. Otherwise, you can choose “Cancel”. 4.
Once the installation is complete, a quick start icon will appear
on your desktop. To manually install the driver for VVDI2, follow
these steps: 1. Open Device Manager by right-clicking on My
Computer in Windows Explorer and selecting Properties. Then, open
System Properties and select Hardware -> Device Manager. 2. In
Device Manager, locate VVDI2 (with a yellow exclamation mark) under
Other devices. Double-click on it to open the properties window. 3.
Click on the Driver tab and verify that the Driver Date is
3/18/2011 and the Driver Version is 2.8.14.0. If the driver needs
to be installed manually, follow these additional steps: 4. In the
properties window, click on “Update Driver”. 5. In the Update
Driver Software window, select “Browse my computer for driver
software”. 6. Input the absolute path for the USB Driver folder in
the install directory. You can find the path by browsing to Start
-> Programs -> VVDI2 -> USB Drivers. 7. Press OK and wait
for the installation to complete. You may be prompted with a system
message asking if you are sure to install this driver. Click on
“Continue” to proceed. Once the driver is installed, you should be
able to use VVDI2 for programming and diagnostics of vehicle keys.

3. Install Driver
Generally, VVDI2 driver can install automatically with install software. If install driver failed or your programs can not connect to VVDI2, you need manual
install driver accord chapter 3.1
3.1. Manual Install Driver
Open Device Manager: Open windows explorer, right click “My computer” and select “Properties” (PICTURE 3.1), open “System properties”(PICTURE 3.2), select “Hardware” -> “Device Manager”, Open Device Manager(PICTURE 3.3)

Install bus driver: Disconnect other USB cable from PC(Mouse and keyboard should keep connect) VVDI2 install with other version drivers: In (PICTURE 3.3) select “Universal Serial Bus controllers” -> “USB Serial Converter” double click on it, get properties window(PICTURE 3.4) View “Driver” page: “Driver Date” should be: 3/18/2011, “Driver Version” should be: 2.8.14.0(PICTURE 3.11). If all right, don’t install driver again. If not shown as before, you need install driver with following steps: 1) In (PICTURE 3.4), select “Driver” -> “Update Driver”. Open “Hardware Update Wizard” (PICTURE 3.5) 2) In (PICTURE 3.5), select “Install from a list or specific location (Advanced)”, next to get window (PICTURE 3.6) 3) In (PICTURE 3.6), select “Don’t’ search. I will choose the driver to install.” next to get window (PICTURE 3.7). Sometimes you will get (PICTURE 3.8) directly, at this situation, go to step 5) 4) In (PICTURE 3.7) , select “Universal Serial Bus controllers”, next to get window (PICTURE 3.8)

5) In (PICTURE 3.8), select “Have Disk…”, get install from disk window (PICTURE 3.9)
6) In (PICTURE 3.9), input absolute path for USB Driver folder in install directory (Browse… and choose install directory, or you can find the path from Start->Programs->VVDI2->USB Drivers). Press OK and wait complete. Sometimes system will ask again for Are you sure to install this driver? Continue is need
