35-040 Electronic Digital Micrometer

Electronic Digital Micrometer iP40 | iP54

The Electronic Digital Micrometer is a precision tool designed
for measuring the thickness of materials. It is available in
different sizes and models, with either an iP40 or iP54 protective
rating against dust and moisture. The product features a friction
drive, quick drive, ABS/INC…UNIT key, ON/OFF…SET key, data
output, and locking screw.

Operation

The ON/OFF…SET key is used to power the device on or off with
a short press. A long press sets or resets the zero, and the LCD
display will reset to zero. The ABS/INC…UNIT key is used for
absolute and incremental mode measuring mode conversion. A short
press enables the INC (Incremental) sign displayed on the LCD for
relative measuring mode. A short press again disables the function.
A long press is used for metric (mm) /inch (in) conversion. The LCD
display shows the relative measuring mode in INC, the unit in
inches as “in”, and the unit in metric as “mm”.

Two ways of pressing the keys are used in the following
illustrations: (1) Short Press: Press and release; (2) Long Press:
Press and hold for 3~5 seconds.

Troubleshooting

Please replace the battery (CR2032) when the display does not
power on, display fades, or display flashes. Misreadings can be
resolved by cleaning the gauge, resetting zero, or replacing the
battery when resetting zero does not work.

3. LCD Display

INC : Relative measuring mode. in : Unit: inch. mm : Unit: metric.

4. Operation

Two ways of pressing the keys are used in the following illustrations: (1) Short Press: Press and release; (2) Long Press: Press and hold for 3~5 seconds.
4.1 ON/OFF…SET key:

On/Off: Short press the key to turn the gauge on or off. Set or reset zero: Long press the key to set zero, LCD display will reset to zero.

4.2 ABS/INC…UNIT key:

Short press: Absolute and Incremental mode measuring mode conversion; INC (Incremental) sign displayed on LCD for relative measuring mode. Short press the key again to disable the function. Long press: Metric (mm) /inch (in) conversion.

* Do not subject the instrument to blows or knocks. Do not drop it or apply excessive force. * Do not disassemble the instrument. * Do not press the keys with a pointed object. * Do not use or store instrument under direct sunlight, or in an excessively hot or cold area. * Do not use the instrument near strong magnetic fields and high voltages. * Use a soft cloth or a cotton swab that is dry to clean the instrument. Do not use organic solvent such as acetone or benzene. Alcohol may be used. * Wipe the measuring faces of the instrument before using it. * Remove the battery if the instrument is not used for a long period of time.
7. Troubleshooting
Please replace battery (CR2032) when display: does not power-on; display fade; display flashes. Misread: clean the gauge; reset zero; replace battery when reset zero does not work.
