Tchibo 604 253 Mango Slicer and Pitter
USING
Suitable for standard mangoes with an almond-shaped pit. Use the mango pitter on soft, ripe mangoes only; it is not suitable for unripe mangoes.
- To give the unpeeled mango more stability, slice off the end with the stalk.
- Place the mango on a level surface. Tip: If you place a towel or similar under the mango, it won’t slip away so easily.
WARNING – the risk of cuts
Applying too much pressure can cause the blade to break out of the product. Line the pitter up with the mango, then push the blade downwards and into the fruit, applying only moderate pressure. If you feel resistance from the blade hitting the pit, stop pushing and reposition the mango pitter. The mango pitter is not suitable for cutting the pit itself. - Line the pitter up with the mango, then carefully push it downwards and into the fruit, gently rocking it back and forth as you do so.
