Connection Diagram

1. Connect to cable outlet or splitter. Coaxial cable not included
2. Connect to power
3. Connect to network with default network name and password (Wi‐Fi or Ethernet)
4. Configure network at http://192.168.0.1 (CH8679 Configuration Manager) e.g. change network name and router password.
5. Connect remaining wireless devices using network name & password set in step 4
   e.g. phone, table, laptop, gaming systems.
6. Installation is complete!

Installation Precautions

• Do not install during thunderstorms or lightning activity
• Install in upright position and central location in home
• Avoid physical obstructions (e.g. walls, ceilings, floors) for optimal line of sight
• Avoid reflective surfaces (e.g. windows) and electrical home appliances (e.g. microwave) to avoid interference
• Do not block ventilation holes to avoid overheating
• Provide at least 30 mm of space around side covers
• Ensure cable connector is on the left if wall mounted
• Unplug power from wall before disconnecting from the modem to avoid potential shock
• Do not open the unit; contact your Internet Service Provider for service
• Use No. 26 AWG or larger telecommunication Line Cord to reduce fire risk.

Cable distribution system must be grounded in accordance with ANSI/NFPA 70, the National Electrical Code (NEC) – Section 820.93 “Grounding of Outer Conductive Shield of a Coaxial Cable”.
