PVA-6 Portable Vertical Antenna
Product Information:
The PVA-6 (Portable Vertical Antenna) is a versatile antenna
designed to cover 6 bands – 2M, 6M, 10M, 12M, 15M, 17M, and 20M. It
operates within the frequency range of 220MHz, 440MHz, and 2 to 20
meters. The antenna has an omni-directional pattern, ensuring a
wide coverage area. It features an SO-239 RF connection for easy
installation and compatibility with various radios.
Specifications:
- Power: Full legal limit
- Pattern: Omni-directional
- RF Connection: SO-239
- Frequency: 220MHz, 440MHz, and 2 to 20 meters
Product Usage Instructions:
- Screw the telescopic element onto the mount. Make sure it is
securely attached. - Secure the counterpoise ring connector with one of the mount’s
bolts or nuts. This ensures proper grounding. - Refer to the tuning chart below to determine the appropriate
number of sections to deploy for each band. The length of the
vertical element may vary depending on ground conditions. - For example, for 20 meters band, deploy 10 sections of the
vertical element. - Once the desired number of sections is deployed for a specific
band, ensure they are properly extended and locked in place. - Ensure that the antenna is connected to your radio using an
appropriate coaxial cable with an SO-239 connector. - Power on your radio and select the desired frequency band.
- You can now use the PVA-6 antenna to transmit and receive
signals within the selected frequency range.
