Introductions
With the built-in temperature and humidity metres on this wall clock, you can quickly assess the comfort level. This clock set is the ideal choice for any home, patio, or garden thanks to its sturdy stone copy construction that withstands the elements. It’s AcuRite, which means it’s extremely accurate. It measures temperatures between -40°F and 140°F, or -50°C and 50°C.
Remove the Weather-Resistant Cover
Access the battery compartment by pulling off the weather-resistant cover. Be careful not to damage the cover during removal.
Set the Time
Turn the set knob on the back of the clock in either direction.
Install or Replace Batteries
AcuRite recommends high quality alkaline or lithium batteries for the best product performance. Heavy duty or rechargeable batteries are not recommended.
The clock requires lithium batteries in low temperature conditions. Cold temperatures can cause alkaline batteries to function improperly. Use lithium batteries in the clock for temperatures below -4ºF / -20ºC. Insert 1 x AA alkaline or Lithium batteries into the battery compartment, as shown. Follow the polarity (+/-) diagram in the battery compartment. Replace the weather-resistant cover.
DO NOT HANG IN DIRECT SUNLIGHT
For the most accurate temperature readings choose a location that will not be exposed to direct sunlight or other direct heat sources.

PLEASE DISPOSE OF OLD OR DEFECTIVE BATTERIES IN AN ENVIRONMENTALLY SAFE WAY AND IN ACCORDANCE WITH YOUR LOCAL LAWS AND REGULATIONS.
BATTERY SAFETY
Clean the battery contacts and also those of the device prior to battery installation. Remove batteries from equipment which is not to be used for an extended period of time. Follow the polarity (+/-) diagram in the battery compartment. Promptly remove dead batteries from the device. Dispose of used batteries properly. Only batteries of the same or equivalent type as recommended are to be used. DO NOT incinerate used batteries. DO NOT dispose of batteries in fire, as batteries may explode or leak. DO NOT mix old and new batteries or types of batteries (alkaline/standard). DO NOT use rechargeable batteries. DO NOT recharge non-rechargeable batteries. DO NOT short-circuit the supply terminals.

FAQs
Mine isn’t either. It isn’t even really close. It reads over 90* when it is about 75*. I messed with it and have not been able to change mine. The company says the two little screws on the back adjust it. To me they are not even screws. If you can figure it out. Let me know but I don’t believe there is a way. Very disappointing.
Don’t remember. This clock did not hold up well. It stopped working after 2 seasons.
Not that I hv found–just the usual battery movement with wheel to set time. Have had mine couple of months & seems to stay accurate. But be aware as I mentioned in my initial review, the temperature dial is in Celsius! (maybe I just got one from a lot Amazon got meant for the Canadian market?). Kept it anyway. Nice looking, durable–I dropped it when wiping it off–no harm done.
Can’t really help here, as the clock Amazon sent me was in Celsius. I have a remote outdoor therm on my patio table which is in Farenheit which reads inside the house so don’t want to convert temp from metric. I would advise (if you live in the U.S.) that you ask Amazon if they have a version in F. Also, make sure you hang clock in shaded place for accuracy in temp readings.
This clock is not known to have a loud tick. Most say the clock is very quiet. If you have any other questions, please contact the AcuRite Support Team via email or Live Chat, we are happy to assist you.
Yes it takes one AA battery.
The slate is plastic, but looks nice. The lens is clear plastic Keeps good time and temp is same as others I have
Farenheit only (Exactly as the pic shows). We had this same exact one hanging outside and that one lasted approx 6-7 years. Just replaced it with same exact one. We like it.
I have had mine outside for a few years.
I don’t think so. Unfortunately, it was a present and the recipient put it in too hot of a sauna, where it promptly melted off the wall, (175 degrees). I’m pretty sure that it takes one AA battery. It’s a handsome clock, just keep the temp under 140.
Yes, and it’s lightweight as well. Am very pleased with this item.
Yes AA batteries – very nice clock.
As with any thermometer NO. The readings would be off the charts.
I have it mounted outdoors, on my deck with a covered roof. I can not hear it tick at all.
