Application of Cally BUILDER Gel
STEP 1
Nail preparation
- Sanitise yours & your clients hands.
- Push the cuticles back with a cuticle pusher
- Remove any excess cuticles with cuticle nippers
- Using a 180/180 grit file, shape the nail.
- Etch the nail bed to remove any shine.
- Dehydrate & cleanse the nail bed with 100% acetone or a dehyrate product.
STEP 2
Apply BASE COAT & first layer of Cally Builder
- Apply a thin layer of base coat to the nail bed and cure for 60 seconds
- Apply a thin layer of Builder gel to the nail bed, make sure you cap the edge.
- Cure for 99 seconds on the low heat mode.
STEP 3
Apply second layer of Cally Builder
- Starting at the cuticle, create a ball with your gel by swirling on the nail bed, push up to the cuticle and pull down the sides, start to work the gel down the nail building up a thicker layer to create an apex.
- Bring right the to the free edge and cap the ends.
- Cally builder is self levelling, gravity will help so turn hand upside down for a few seconds and turn back.
- Cure 1 nail at a time to avoid product moving.
- Cure for 99 seconds on low heat mode.
STEP 4
REFINE
- Cleanse with lint free wipes to remove the tacky layer.
- Using a 180/180 grit file or 180 burnerer refine the nail bed, smoothing it out.
- Make sure it’s thinner at the cuticle.
- Shape the free edge.
STEP 5
Top coat or Gel polish
- Apply Cally NW Top coat, capping the free edge.
- Cure for 99 seconds on low heat mode.
- or Apply first coat of Gel Polish colour cure, then second coat cure. To finish with Top coat ( refer to application of Cally Gel document if unsure)
- Finish with cuticle oil
Cally Builder Extensions
If you are wanting to add length to the nail, apply tips after step 1 before continuing with step 2 .
Make sure they are not too long, still a natural length is best suited for Builder to work best.
Cally Builder can also be infilled so no need to soak off every time.
