CSBQIKCL Grip Jr. Lateral Sway Brace or Restraint Device
Product Information:
The product is a sway brace assembly designed to be installed in
accordance with NFPA-13 and the manufacturer’s installation
instructions. It is manufactured by nVent and is part of the
Dyna-Flow product line. The product is registered with various
trademarks including nVent, nVent CADDY, nVent ERICO Cadweld, nVent
ERICO Critec, nVent ERICO, nVent ERIFLEX, and nVent LENTON.
The product is intended for use in a non-corrosive indoor
environment and should only be used for the purpose it was designed
for. It is important to follow all instructions provided by nVent
to ensure proper and safe installation and performance. Failure to
do so may result in product malfunction, property damage, serious
bodily injury, and voiding of the warranty.
All load ratings provided are for static conditions and do not
account for dynamic loading such as wind, water, or seismic loads
unless otherwise noted. The customer is responsible for conforming
to all governing codes, ensuring the integrity of structures to
which the product is attached, and using appropriate
industry-standard hardware.
Appropriate safety equipment such as eye protection, hard hat,
and gloves should always be used during installation.
Product Usage Instructions:
- Ensure you have the correct sway brace assembly with the
corresponding part number: CSBQIKCL0100XX, CSBQIKCL0125XX,
CSBQIKCL0150XX, or CSBQIKCL0200XX. - Identify the service pipe schedule for which the lateral 1
brace pipe will be installed. - If the service pipe schedule is N/A, no lateral 1 brace pipe is
required. - If the service pipe schedule is 10, the lateral 1 brace pipe
should be able to support a load of 655 lb (2,914 N).
