Sterile, for single use only. Do not re-sterilize.
Punch biopsy is a standardised method to get skin specimen.
Instructions for Use
- Prepare skin area
Sterilise skin area with alcohol. - Anesthetize the skin
Anesthetize the area to be biopsied by injecting a solution of Lidocaine-HCL 1% subepidermally. - Punch Biopsy of the skin
Hold punch between thumb and index finger. Apply slight pressure and turn the punch until the blade has pierced the skin.
Remove the blade out of the skin, clean from blood. - Excision of skin biopsy
Gently grip and raise skin sample with anatomical tweezers.
Separate carefully with scalpel at base. - Wound closure
For wounds ≤ 4mm gently compress or close with tape.
For wounds ≥ 4mm close with suture, clip or adhesive strip as appropriate.

Don’t use if primary pack (blister) is damaged.
