- Unplug machine
- Empty dirt cup by sliding Lock ‘n Seal lever to “unlock” position and sliding dirt cup straight out
- Lift up filter cup located beneath dirt cup and twist plastic tab to lift filter out
- Separate outer foam and inner pleated filters
- Both can be washed with warm water and mild detergent
- Allow to completely air dry (24-48 hours) before reinstalling
- Check suction inlet in upper tank for clog
- Upper tank and louvers may be wiped clean
- Remove small, round filter beneath filter cup and remove any debris
- Turn machine on and check for suction at motor duct where this filter sits
- If no suction at motor duct, visit a BISSELL Authorized Service Center or Contact Us
- Turn machine on and check for suction at motor duct where this filter sits
- Open door on side of machine to access post-motor filter
- Post-motor filter is NOT washable and should be replaced when dirty
- Disconnect upholstery hose from both ends
- Run broomstick through hose to remove any clogs
- If hose is cracked or damaged, it will need to be replaced
- Remove screw from left side of wand base and pull lower hose down to straighten
- Insert broomstick through lower hose to remove any clogs
- Verify brush on bottom of machine is turning when handle is reclined
- If not turning, see Brush Not Turning
- If machine still has no suction, visit a BISSELL Authorized Service Center or Contact Us
